Umm, first things first. You cant add it to the debt AND pay it off at the same time. So either they printed money to pay it off, OR they added it to the debt.
But speaking of good points and amnesia, if youre going to say its wrong to add to the debt or print money to cover for health care, why NOW do you approve of it on a much more massive scale?
Adding to the debt is how things are paid for but it is HOW it is added that is the key. With health care there are provisions set aside for bringing health care to those who do not have it, in other words yes money will be printed and yes it will be a large amount but the money saved from bringing affordable health care to millions of Americans, which eliminates those costs who go into the ER and do not have insurance which then gets placed onto your health insurance and raises your rates.
It went through the finance committee and was shown to be deficit neutral in fact that it saved us 167 billion dollars in the first 10 years that is a huge amount of money. That money then goes back to the deficit, which means it should pay for itself but if you want to continue to believe Rush Limbaugh about how it's evil then go right ahead, my one concern about the health care bill is how will it cover those individuals that do high risk sports such as MotoCross.
3) it went through the demcrat controlled finance committee. And magically the fuzzy numbers are a miracle. Only problem is that entitlement spending (especially health care) is ALWAYS much higher than what was projected at the time. For example, Medicare, Medicaid and the drug benefit currenty have a nearly 60 TRILLION unfunded liability on the books. Just to pay for the promises already made, each man, woman and child will have to pony another 380k over their lifetimes.
entitlement spending is always higher unless you have an offset for it, the offset of saving money and less or no excessive spending, the reason why health care is so expensive now is because there is no competition in the health care system if there was then health care rates would be lower and coverage would be better and people wouldn't lose their coverage for stupid reasons. look edgeman you apparently need to finish highschool and leave the thinking to the grown ups.

@MagicBrandfas LOL! I'm not a millionaire and I can easily afford to pay my healthcare insurance, as well as, pay for the vast majority of my healthcare costs in cash. However, I, like the majority of America, can't afford to pay major medical costs. Hence, that's why I have insurance. We don't need government telling us what to buy, or being involved in healthcare.

In a interview with William Shatner, on his show "Raw Nerve", Rush Limbaugh suggested that it is entirely fair that if someone cannot afford healthcare, they should not have it.
For Limbaugh, if one is wealthy then the luxury is within one's reach. If not, there's no moral reason whatsoever for society to provide any means to assist the underprivileged (middle class?) in affording quality health treatment.
In Limbaugh's view, the wealthy get to decide whether the poor should live or die.

Adding to the debt is how things are paid for but it is HOW it is added that is the key. With health care there are provisions set aside for bringing health care to those who do not have it, in other words yes money will be printed and yes it will be a large amount but the money saved from bringing affordable health care to millions of Americans, which eliminates those costs who go into the ER and do not have insurance which then gets placed onto your health insurance and raises your rates.

It went through the finance committee and was shown to be deficit neutral in fact that it saved us 167 billion dollars in the first 10 years that is a huge amount of money. That money then goes back to the deficit, which means it should pay for itself but if you want to continue to believe Rush Limbaugh about how it's evil then go right ahead, my one concern about the health care bill is how will it cover those individuals that do high risk sports such as MotoCross.

3) it went through the demcrat controlled finance committee. And magically the fuzzy numbers are a miracle. Only problem is that entitlement spending (especially health care) is ALWAYS much higher than what was projected at the time. For example, Medicare, Medicaid and the drug benefit currenty have a nearly 60 TRILLION unfunded liability on the books. Just to pay for the promises already made, each man, woman and child will have to pony another 380k over their lifetimes.

The McCarran-Ferguson Act provides that state law shall govern the regulation of insurance and that no act of Congress shall invalidate any state law unless the federal law specifically relates to insurance. The act thus mandates that a federal law that does not specifically regulate the business of insurance will not preempt a state law enacted for that purpose.
