Am I the only one who just doesn't care for The Punisher. Honestly he bores me. Yes, he kills criminals in creative ways but what he does is one thing, his personality is something else
i loved the movie because i love the fact that everyone acts how theyre supposed to act and just evrything about the movie although.... the effects were rubbish at some points
i like this movie, it was way better than the one in 2004, that movied sucked this was the best punisher move, its not the best comic book movie, but it is good.
I give this move a wait until it comes on TV and put in on in the background while you go through your mail. It was nonsense. Great actor playing Frank Castle but there is a horrible script, directed by a lot of bad choices. the movie just feels like it can't decide whether it is trying to be Sam Raimi gory and violent or Chris Nolan serious and dramatic, while taking advice from Joel Schumacher.
@siechtum i know... if they can make a serious crime drama movie with a guy dressed as a bat (christopher nolans the dark knight/batman begins)..they can make a non goofy movie about a guy with guns,sounds way more reasonable then a guy dressed as a bat taking himself seriously
P.S. Hey spillcom, this isn't setting out to be "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" or "Good Will Hunting" it's meant to be a shits and giggles shoot em up with some good Punisher lore thrown in. And on that level it's The Grand Champion. Youse guys are bein clown shoes.

I give this a Full Price! There, I said it! The movie's batshit insane and entertaining as hell. Is the dialogue bad? Yes, but it's in a fun way. All the idiots that go "Well, Transformers is just a dumb movie so it's good" need to see this. This is a movie that is mindless and stupid, but instead of filling itself with bad humor and annoying characters, goes straight to the point and knows what makes the Punisher so badass.
I score this movie better than sex, specially that sexy hot producer. However War Zone is the best gun action film I ever seen and in a way its the most believeble and realistic hero movie ever.
I love this movie, but I have to agree with Cedric: a GREAT Punisher movie is impossible. Some characters/stories just don't translate well to other media.

@Rycan18 They villains have the same name, but for different reasons. Billy Russotti is called Jigsaw because his face had to be sewn back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Saw's Jigsaw was known as "The Jigsaw Killer" because he cut pieces out of his victims.
The last two spill reviews i watched were good. But i have to disagree with this one. The last punisher was better. This one sucks, especially the glorified scene where you stand around arms outstretched shoot aimlessly..no point doing that in real life.
2004 Thomas Jane Punisher was great, but buy the Extended Cut, I felt Ray Stevenson did a damn good job as Frank Castle. They even got his back story right in this movie. I will say this is a B-rated movie but it still delivers a punch!!!

Give him a break he got his ass handed to him because he's just starting out he wasn't a full fledged Punisher yet and that guy was stronger (not tougher) and on steroids and caught him off guard. plus i think Jane was a better Punisher then Stevenson if only Jane did this one (which is more like the Comics) i still like 2004 best. it had an impact on all Vengeance films for me. =D

Its one of those bad but awwesome movies. The story sucks and all the characters except the punisher suck as well. @enjoisk8r20 It's cause in the other one they died at a reunion because the director wanted frank castle to have a reason for his war on crime, therefore crime literally having his ENTIRE family killed, but in War Zone, they died in a picnic because that's how they died in the comic books, War Zone they stayed true to the origins

The 2004 Movie was a good/decent movie. Had some memorable scenes. This one didn't at all. Dominic West is one of the main reasons flopped to me. He was such a bad villain. Sure its closer to the comics and fans always say this ones better then Thomas Jane's because of this. Too bad they are so fan boyish that they can't realize how bad the War Zone film really is. Its okay to like it but you can't lie to yourself saying its the better one of the 2. 2004 actually had a story and some drama.
This movie was totally full price for me. I havent read the comics though, so maybe that had something to do with it too. Still, the amount of violence and destruction and the Oh my god how is he gonna take out this room full of bad guys made this a full price all the way.
High Matinee since I just love gore and action even if this was unrealistic as shit I did have a really nice time watching it, the villian was so badly developed, but this one wasn't cheesy like the first one although the first one had more story, I have nothing against Thomas Jane but it felt like Ray Stevenson had more carisma to it.
That's what I love about this movie...hammy as hell acting from Jigsaw and Loony Bin Jim, and over the top gore....it entertained me and that's all I ask for in a movie.
This movie is based on a Punisher comic story. Apart from some dodgy acting, I think they stuck too close to the comic... This is why they didnt in Watchmen, you fanboys. The dialog and some of the emotional scenes are portrayed in a way that you think,"Hay,this would look better in a comic."and it hurts the movie.

I'm totally going to watch this movie now. I didn't have any interest when it came to theaters, but I'd like to see heads explode in increasingly creative ways.
Sadly, I liked the first one. Keep in mind, I was like five when I saw it. Back when any movie with Arnie, JCVD, or Dolph was awesome.
I liked the 2004 Punisher morw than this. I don't know why it just felt more real and had a better story. I also prefer Thomas Jane, he should've waited for this film instead of giving up.
I wish the sound could be Normalized in these videos. Inevitably while I'm watching the video, whenever they do those comic cutaways or sound effects, it's loud as HELL, and I gotta hit the volume, and then once the 4 reviewers resume talking, I gotta put the volume back up.

@enjoisk8r20 It's cause in the other one they died at a reunion because the director wanted frank castle to have a reason for his war on crime, therefore crime literally having his ENTIRE family killed, but in War Zone, they died in a picnic because that's how they died in the comic books, War Zone they stayed true to the origins

Although I thought the 2004 movie was average at best,it was certainly better than this.And I'm a big fan of Dominic West since his Wire days,but even he couldn't redeem the movie.

The 2004 Movie was a good/decent movie. Had some memorable scenes. This one didn't at all. Dominic West is one of the main reasons flopped to me. He was such a bad villain. Sure its closer to the comics and fans always say this ones better then Thomas Jane's because of this. Too bad they are so fan boyish that they can't realize how bad the War Zone film really is. Its okay to like it but you can't lie to yourself saying its the better one of the 2. 2004 actually had a story and some drama.

This movie was totally full price for me. I havent read the comics though, so maybe that had something to do with it too. Still, the amount of violence and destruction and the Oh my god how is he gonna take out this room full of bad guys made this a full price all the way.

High Matinee since I just love gore and action even if this was unrealistic as shit I did have a really nice time watching it, the villian was so badly developed, but this one wasn't cheesy like the first one although the first one had more story, I have nothing against Thomas Jane but it felt like Ray Stevenson had more carisma to it.

That's what I love about this movie...hammy as hell acting from Jigsaw and Loony Bin Jim, and over the top gore....it entertained me and that's all I ask for in a movie.

Best Punisher so far.
This movie is based on a Punisher comic story. Apart from some dodgy acting, I think they stuck too close to the comic... This is why they didnt in Watchmen, you fanboys. The dialog and some of the emotional scenes are portrayed in a way that you think,"Hay,this would look better in a comic."and it hurts the movie.
-Other than that the story logic is a little faulty.
-Many of the actors are sub par.
+The action is comic like great.
+Punisher isnt political correct. Good!

Yea I did ass hole, the acting was terrible and so was the plot but you know what? This movie was not suppose to be taken seriously! Like the spill crew said its a entertaining comic movie not a academy award like movie! Man, U can't take every film seriously. The action was good and Ray Stevenson's punisher was the best punisher by far! It's also the closest movie you'll ever get to a Punisher comic, jus shut the fuck up

I'm totally going to watch this movie now. I didn't have any interest when it came to theaters, but I'd like to see heads explode in increasingly creative ways.
Sadly, I liked the first one. Keep in mind, I was like five when I saw it. Back when any movie with Arnie, JCVD, or Dolph was awesome.

I liked the 2004 Punisher morw than this. I don't know why it just felt more real and had a better story. I also prefer Thomas Jane, he should've waited for this film instead of giving up.

I wish the sound could be Normalized in these videos. Inevitably while I'm watching the video, whenever they do those comic cutaways or sound effects, it's loud as HELL, and I gotta hit the volume, and then once the 4 reviewers resume talking, I gotta put the volume back up.
