The Warrior is a truly incredible film. I own it on DVD and have watched it many times. The acting is brilliant and the simplicity and clearness in the landscape, the settings and historical presentation is original.
This movie is based on the KaliChakra Tantric Prohphecy. The muslim names were mention to remind people of the prophecy. The prophecy states that the believers of mecca will eventually figth a great war within themselves.
What you see in the first 40 seconds is as close as you get to seeing Rajput martial art kata. The movie has some distortions in it such as the attire of the women including the boy "riyaz" and the part where they smoke a "beedi" - indian cigarette.
