  • lmao, i was like wtf no AO? but then i realised he was smoking something... lol! nice

  • Architecture without constraints is boring and insignificant.

We marvel at buildings that seem to defy gravity or serve a purpose in an innovative way. If such constraints don't exist, the physical fabric of reality is irrelevant. In short, Second Life is totally about creating a simulation of reality and then distorting it in fantastic ways.

That's why conventional buildings and purposes are so appropriate. Without them, the distortions are not a pronounced, not as amazing.

  • Great points and I thank you for taking the time to put this video together. Connecting Maslow's Hierarchy as a motivation for design was an eye-opener, but a new hierarchy for virtual building is brilliant.

Like you, I've been puzzled by why so many buildings in Second Life look just like their real-world equivalents. Why not push the limits of design? It seems like a no-brainer to me, but it shows how ingrained traditional concepts are hard to change!

  • thanks for this interesting video.

  • Great video, except the word "Physiological" is not pronounced "Psychological".

  • You are a misunderstood genius and therefore have skipped the 3rd level of hierarchy of needs. I seek this level online and you are of this level.
