My aunt sent me this link and has bought back such memories. My father was in the original line-up when ballyhoo started. Man on the moon was released 3 weeks before he passed away. use to play the guitar and sing this song to me before I'd go to sleep. Must have been only 4 years old. Good memories!! Thankyou so much for posting this!!!!

Unless you consider Cry to Me, by the Stacattos, Heart, by Gene Rockwell, Understanding, by Peanut butter conspiracy, For Your Precious Love, by Flame, Hold On To Love, by Rabbit, or perhaps the biggest of all, Substitute, by Clout "Substitute",. Clout's version reached #1 in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Denmark and Belgium. It occupied the #2 slot on the UK Singles Chart (where it remained for 3 weeks).
great song. reminds me so much about growing up in South africa. was always crazy about space and remember that Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica was on TV during the time this song was out.
Saw Ballyhoo at the old Jolly Roger at the top end of Eloff street, JHB. Just loved those care free days.

When you love two men at the same time try to feel deep into your heart and ask yourself, "Now which one is my soulmate"?
