I don't think I've heard it fast, but it brings on a very light springy sound that takes on a life of its own. good job. :) fantastic dedication. keep it up :)
I finally got the music sheet!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks everyone who helped me find it. :) I will practice day and night on this song before my audition. And this video will help me a lot. Thanks alicelizard!!!!!!!!! :)
There is a lovely place with public domain music, called the International Music Score Library Project, or IMSLP; it contains the whole of the Bach Geselschaft-Ausgube (Hope I spelled it right..), along with many other classical composers. I advise you to Google it (I'd put down the adress, but I don't wish to be marked as spamming; I'm only trying to answer your question).
oh my god what is wrong with youtube ok everyone please note that this was a reply and not a comment this was amazing and perfectly played my first comment was replying to aemstelredam
Hi, I'm planning to take violin lessons. I play the piano, read music and that stuff. How long you think could take me to reach your level or similar?
It depends on how you take to the violin. I play the violin and picked it up pretty quick(I'm not as good as her though) and my violin teacher says I'm moving very fast. So it just depends on how much you like it, how much effort you put into it, and how easy it comes to you. Oh yeah don't forget practice makes perfect and I hope you love the violin just as much as I do. :)
Hi :) I'm 17 and a half and started the violin 14 months ago, and I'm studying grade 3, playing some grade 4 pieces. And that was without any prior musical knowledge too! So I'm sure you could progress very quickly indeed! Just pratice, have passion (can't be forced) and throw yourself into it! I found my playing improved when I started moving like a violinist, that kinda essential pomp hehe, it gives fluidity. Good luck!
that depends on so much! ive progressed really fast because i love it so much. if you ever want to play like that (and not take a lifetime) you have to have incredible passion for it, crazy levels of patience and no fear of going all out even if you think you look stupid and you do have to have natural talent. it totally depends on u, the violin is different with everyone, could be nywhere b/w 4-10yrs but its DEFINATELY worth it :D, good luck!
it'll take a while to that good. mainly because you'll have to learn how to use the bow properly and in various different way for phrasing. Technique in the left hand and fingerings can take months alone.
You're up there with the best of them on this one, which is quite a feat. Great clarity of tone, excellent technique, fantastic emotional expression. I've rarely heard the Gavotte done as well as you have here. Bravo.
lots of technical advice ,slured #,?- up bows? -double stop F`s ??????? I just thought you were bl---y good,!!!!! thats it ..just bl--dy good....best wishes..
Very good, However you seem to be struggling with the bow patterning a various places it shows in your eyes. In short I play this with a slightly different bowing pattern in order to gain a more natural flow. E.g. at bar 12 there is a double stop F# and B# followed by a C#. In the music it is shown as a slurred down bow. I make the C# a light/soft up bow. Therefore the next double stop the E and C# can start on a down bow giving (in my opinion) a more naturalistic bowing action.
Another example is bar 50 where the phrase finishes on a double Stop on the Es played with a down bow. Playing a down bow is correct but I play the following quaver with a down bow as well. Therefore a long down bow for the double stop to about the centre of the bow the a short down bow for the following quaver.
pretty nice ..but it is at last only interpretation.. bach has improvised his music - classical interpretation is absolutely overestimated. a point : "Do not follow the old masters´steps, but seek what they were seeking... " Basho (1644-1694) : japanese haiku - master :-) ! ..you wonna see/hear something realy innovative - how to improvise classical music ?! look for video : "bach sarabande jazz guitar" or visite renatorozic dot com ..you ll be nicely surprised .. :-)
i am learning this song for an audition at school. it is too hard for me. i can only play the first line without collapsing into distress. well anyhow, u r so good!!! i hope i can half as well as u!
Bravo! As a classically trained musician, I can say that your intonation is great and your tone is beautiful! I haven't heard this song in so long. In fact, the first time I heard it, Itzhak Perlman was playing it on Sesame Street, (Kinda giving away my age), LOL! But very nice work.
She plays beautifully. The fact that it isn't so polished adds freshness to it. Don't worry about perfection it's over rated. You are already perfectly flawed perfection. The soul without the body hath not the perfection of it's nature.
Well done! Wasn't it a tad bit fast though? a bit fast for me anyways. I have listened to most of your postings and you are a great promising violinist. Your age ?
I think you do a wonderful job with this piece, for me it is a big struggle with those double stop passages! How old are you by the way? Great talent...you look young...or at least in this video you do...I mean this in a good way of course!
This teacher told us a certain audition asked for such and such piece to prove you have technique, and such and another to prove you have feelings, and unaccompanied Bach to prove you can THINK. You have to get the timing of this very clever song just right or it is no fun, and I think you nailed it. Also some of those segments are really hard, so it's easy to just forget about the phrasing on those spots. But you didn't stop there!
If you study the gavotte as a dance, you will see that the first two quarter notes in every phrase are a pick-up. A little more poise at the end of each phrase would help as well. The tempo is a bit too fast for a gavotte as a dance. Remember that Bach's partitas are a collection of dances, of course they wouldn't have been danced to, but we should remember that the music came from dances. More gracefulness would go a long way.
hey about what nyssma level would this piece be?
