I remember the time when MTV was playing this video. It was the early 90's. There was also Michael Jackson's Black or White, and Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit amongst many other classics. I miss those times. MTV today is one big fucking joke! Bring back 24 hours of nonstop videos, no more reality shit and hip hop!!
@fillpereira Are you sure? The kid vaguely resembles a young Enzo, but is that enough to say the creators of reboot made this video? I'm not disagreeing with you or anything, I think you are right, I just wondered how you found out.
AFAIK, this is the only Def Leppard video ever made with just one guitarist (Phil). They must've shot this soon after Steve died and before choosing Viv to join the band. VERY rare in that respect.
Thank God Steve had a chance to write part of this record before he passed away, 'cuz there are a number of really good songs on it. After this album, the songwriting really went downhill (as I feared it would with Steve gone). But hey, we got 5 great albums out of these guys. :-)
Yeah, I know. I didn't say he played on it. He did, however, record some initial demo guitar tracks. Phil talked about that in an interview, mentioning how eerie it was to hear Steve's guitar tracks being played over the studio monitors during the recording sessions after he had died. Phil had to learn & re-create Steve's parts for the actual tracks that went on the album.
And as usual, Steve was also the main songwriter for most of the songs (music, not lyrics).
Yup that's the video, exactly the way I remember it on MTV. Too bad I don't remember MTV. Wow pre CG, want to see something containing even more primitive 3D shapes check out "Planet Caravan" by Pantera, it's literally the done with the tutorial to 3D Studio Max.
@TaylerLessard yes this is the official video, I remember when I first saw it, was the second music video I'd seen using computer animation Dire Straits Money for Nothing being the other
mtv should become RTV for reality TV. only time they have videos now is like 5 or 6 in the morning

@MRREDD6969 I don't play drums, so I'm just a leyman, but I think Rick's a better drummer with just one arm than alot of people can with two arms.

@bleep77 WHAT? You really want them to interupt stupid ass reality shows with fat, pregnant, white trash teenagers.I SO AGREE!
elvisto75 10 months ago
@bleep77 I agree. MTV stands for Music Television, therefore they should be showing music videos. Not programmes about pregnant teenagers etc.

@Jayce5800 I think I read something on the website of the company that made reboot saying they also made this video.

This video was shot with one guitarist. Around the time they were looking for a new guitarist with three arms.

@Ken5244 Actually, Steve died before they began recording this album. It's the only one they recorded as a quartet.
