One thing our coach taught us is never to cross your feet. If they cut back the LB will lose balance and not be able to get to the ball carrier. So thats one thing you got to teach these kids. Also, tell them to work on getting there head across.
I agree, too many of the tacklers had their heads down. The second huge problem, is that too many of the tacklers had their heads on the backside of the runner, not the front side. A good running back will run through these arm tackles. The head must be on the front side of the ball carrier not that back.
I would suggest telling those kid to lead with their eyes (keep their head up) when tackling. It's the single most important thing to teach and I saw a number of your kids just asking for a catastrophic injury and not once did you correct them on it.

They may not have been great at this age but they did win the MN state championship when they were juniors and seniors. So they did get better.
