I think he just caught the "star disease" one day and was not able to recover from it. I feel that, in the direction Axl's taken Guns n Roses (which is quite a different yet still amazing style of music) Slash and co wouldnt be able to meet Axl's requirements. The current band seem to be what Axl's after. I mean he added dj ashba, who has already established a style that would fit well with current GNR. And Slash and Duff have stuck to the 80s/early 90s style and they seem happy, frontman or not. It would be nice to see a show or 2 though.
