I remember my best friend showing me this song..telling me that he wanted to kill himself. and at the end of the song, finally doing it. I was the only person who knew how much he really wanted to kill himself.. nobody realized it till he overdosed one night and I had to go to his house and save his life... I love you.. you're the best friend in the whole world. <3
I remember I was in 8th grade when Demanufacture was released . I was blown away I had never anything like it. I listened to that album for a year straight. Definetely my favorite FF album
One of the reasons why FF will always be one of my favorite bands. Incredibly powerful song but I don't listen to it much because it depresses me something awful.
12 people are either deaf or stupid!! This is one of the most emotional and powerful songs I have ever heard and as soon as I get the chance in either another band or a band of my own Im gonna cover it.....FEAR FACTORY fuckin awesome!!!!
Im so sorry that you had to put down your dog because it had Parvo. My dogs had Parvo and they lived but it was terrible. I will never put another dog though what I put my dogs though. I just could not put them down.
its a warming feeling that Fear Factory have got it back..... no disrespect to present of former members, it ALL rocks and rocks fuckin hard.... just a good feeling after hearing my favourite band FF had split a few years ago...
PLEASE my metal brothers, why the bickering? We are on the same side!
I love this song. I bought the CD soon after it came out. I loved it. It sucks about the situation Christian and Raymond are in. I hope everything gets settled for good, and it works out for everyone in the end.
how come there are not alot of metal songs like this?? just filled with such emotion!!!! ive probably listend to this song like 7 times today!!! i love everythin about this song!!!
@fearfactorymeshuggah dude I agree with you also this was all mainly still written by dino and burton, keeping the album nothing fear factory wasn't in the first place, they just wanted to keep that industrial kind of machine sound to their band, which burton explains how gene fits the style they already have been using and always will be. This band really changes my life at times in their epic songs. Resurrection, Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies), and of course this song.
This is such a good song, just the melodic singing and the heaviness... it's amazing. I love Fear factory so much, definitely being played at my funeral.
The way this song makes you feel is the quintessence of what metal is all about. Such feeling. Such heart. Something RnB and other Mobo, just cannot achieve for me personally.
@Barox213 Burton told in an interview that Gene also had written the main theme for the guitars . I`m sure they all pitched in some ideas of their own . But Gene came up with the basic song .
gene hoglan defat raymond herrera on this the last reymond herrera exit was hurt conveyor on digimortal and marcha de odio in brujeria rest in peace raymond herrera welcome burden to gene hoglan "the atomic clock"
I've heard this song months after I bought the album, and I've never listened to the last few songs. After hearing this song, I'm kicking myself for not listening to it sooner.
oh wow. THAT'S how fear factory sounds these days? not all bad but kind of boring....cobled together. i just uploaded demanufacture on my cars harddrive and started listening to it (first time after 9 or 10 years) and it still holds up. all the riffs, the changes in tempo, the production.....everything. this however, sound already dated and really.....boring.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Hadmin nevermind if this is the ballad or not. the whole mechanize album sounds like it was randomly cobbled together by a child with downsyndrom picking random riffs from a list. and what the hell is bell singing here?! does he actually believe he is a THAT good singer he cann improvise melody lines? this is bullshit.
@HerrKryo if all you have heard of this album is on youtube. you need to check out the cd version the quality does it much better justice. it has to grow on you still. if your used to demanufacter like i was. :D
Amazing ending to a terrible album. Didn't like it at all sorry peeps! People might shoot me down but I like Archetype and am gutted they never play any songs off it live. Best album is Obsolete. Not Demanufacture. Bring on the hate.
@bwillems1000 Yeah I didn't really like it that much. It's almost too heavy. I know that sounds pussy but it sounds kinda messy to me. I prefered the basic slower double bass rythyms of archetype as opposed to all the blast beats and death metal like chord patterns. And there's not enough of that 'yyyeeeeessss' feeling you get when the lighter choruses kick in. I think I'm thinking too much into it. Final Exit is a great song, but the rest of the album is a bit meh.
I would say this, should have slotted after Obsolete, everything after wasn't true "FF" sounding, granted there were some hits after Obsolete nothing quite had the same affect.
Listening to this and Dino's side project its like he finally figured out how to play guitar, and yet it still captures the rough industrialistic FF sound they once had.

fear factory's always been one of my favorite bands. i sang the chorus of replica with burton for a bit while crowd surfing when i saw them in boston back in like '01. i thought they kinda fell off for awhile after digimortal, but this album is so awesome. when i first heard this album in its entirety, with this beautiful song to end the journey, i knew in my heart it was true. the real fear factory was back.
We will always love you FF in life and death.

fear factory's always been one of my favorite bands. i sang the chorus of replica with burton for a bit while crowd surfing when i saw them in boston back in like '01. i thought they kinda fell off for awhile after digimortal, but this album is so awesome. when i first heard this album in its entirety, with this beautiful song to end the journey, i knew in my heart it was true. the real fear factory was back.
