@vastell because the scientis is muslim and most of the inventor and famous arab scientis only come after islam were introduce to them...islam is really the turning point of arab civilization. before that arab people is not very civilize. islam is one of the great religion that actually allowwed their people to invent weapons of war to fight the invaders or heathen.

@thecakeymaiden I agree with you, however do you consider the source where these reports come from? It's clear to Muslims around the world that there's a propaganda campaign to demonize Islam. And it's propagated through all media outlets; ie: Tv, radio, newspapers etc... If you beleive in ONE GOD and looking for the truth I invite you to read the Quran in full. It covers all aspects of life( marriage, science, math, war times and peace and sooo much more)

Almost all of the great minds and thinkers of ancient Greece have been to Egypt early in their lives to learn from the Egyptians the knowledge that no one knew anything about at that time.The Greeks took that knowledge and added to it.That ancient knowledge almost died out when the barbarians of Europe destroyed the Roman empire but the ancient Muslim Arabs translated all the Latin and Greek books they found and added a lot to it and preserved it for posterity and next future generations.

Newton, Boyle, Locke all provide references to the books of Islamic scholars who had discovered so much (both theoretical and practical) centuries ago. Ibn-e-Sina is said to have written over 400 books. No wonder his works on medicine and philosphy were so detailed and comprehensive. Same goes for other scholars. Newton has done original work but a lot of work we consider to be Newton's is actually that of the earlier scholars whose works influenced him.

When the Muslims first exanded out of Arabia they encourntered more advanced civilizations. For much of the early Muslim period they were able to create large empires which enabled a communication and enrichment between the civilizations. Also Islam was much more flexible and tollerant than it is now so religion did not get too much in the way. Then about 500 years ago Islam began to become much more more rigid and intollerant. Science and inquiery were shut out to religious doctrine.

@MohdAriffBinIshak Algebra was known to Ancient Egyptians Scribes in 3000 BC who used it to measure the Dimensions of the Great Pyramids that they built. Greeks, Sumerians, Phoenicians, Babylonians, Persians, Indians & Chinese all these people knew Algebra thousands of years before Islam was even born.

The only Credit some Islamic Mathematicians of the Golden Age of Islam can be given is in Preserving and Translating Ancient works of Egyptians, Greeks and Translating them to Arabic.

@forgottenmemories63 yes you are correct, just think of how the egyptions came to know about complex mathematics, in quran it states that there were civilsations moreadvanced than us. Even Alexander Grahem bell admited of his invention. We still have old technology like the magneto engine or antigravitation engine, earth battery and zeropoint energy etc. Its just that all of knowledge on earth is a contribution of all humanity and Europeans do not have the power to destroy this truth.

@DhuNawwas Aryabhatta was the First Indian mathematician to work with the number Zero and Negative Numbers. He along with Archimedes mentioned Square numbers. Please good it in Wikipedia or google.

He was not alone, there were thousands of Pre Islamic Mathematicians who contributed a lot to Geometry, Astronomy & Algebra. You never hear about these people because of the Dark Ages that covered Europe and most of India due to the Islamic Invasions which only resulted in what we could call Piracy.

@forgottenmemories63 I completely agree with you. The islamic scholars plagiarised Greek medicine(Unani) and Indian Mathematics. Moreover Islam itself is a corrupt plagiarism of Judaism and Christianity with a bold label on its cover saying "We are the original, rest all are fakes/corrupt"

Can you say that sentence again after you read the Quran which co-incidentally happens to mention the belief of a Geo-Centric Earth (Sun and Planets rotating the Earth) like the Ancient Greeks believed, Formation of Womb (As described by Greek Scholars 500 years before Islam), Belief that Meteorites bring Metal to Earth (Babylonians knew this and used Meteorites to make their weapons).

The Quran spoke of nothing new...

@marcstylzzz Quran is correct in some and wrong in others. Like for example, It says Baby is formed in a Womb after Bones and then Flesh. Ancient Greeks believed the same thing, However, This is not correct. When is the last time you saw a baby that was aborted that was only skeleton ? A Baby forms it's Sketalal system and skin both at same time.

This is just one example, I could point out many such errors in Quran when compared to Modern Science doesn't make any sense. Quran is not perfect..

@boyjuly76 the geniuses are still out there in the Muslim world. They're developing ways to spread Islam and create IED's (improvised explosive devices). They're also paying close attention to the news and politics to monitor Europe and North America and determine the best way to implement their rules and laws in other countries. Just because you're a genius doesn't mean you're involved in sending a man to the moon, or finding a cure for cancer.

Then the Romans "robbed" many of their ideas from the Hellenic world...

Then the Germanic and Celtic peoples who encountered Roman civilization throughout years of conquest and exchange "robbed" many of their ideas from the Romans.

No one people has a patent on "invention".

@lbzerohero On "the islams did not invent anything...burnt alexandria's great library" They were more hostile to Hindus in India than the Christians/Jews(People of the book as per the Quran) as Hindus were polytheists. India was a hub of Buddhism at that time. The Muslim invaders wiped out Buddhism 4m India massacred Hindus &burnt the worlds most prestigious universities Nalanda and Viramshila(estbld even b4 Oxford & Cambridge) They finally gave Dhimmi status (Sura 9) to Hindus to pay jizyah.
