I have created the ULTIMATE AC/DC playlist! Just click on my account and go to the playlist named AC/DC (official videos and live performances only). There are over 80 videos on it, and all of them are a different song! I also have one for rare tracks from AC/DC and a Black Ice playlist as well as one full of live footage from the Wilkes-Barre concert! I have playlists for many other artists as well, but seeing as AC/DC is the only one that MATTERS thats all Ill talk about!
The guitar sounds did change ever since Highway to hell and back in black. That's really a pitty there's no more rich taste and it sounds weak and hollow in a way ... maybe because them ears did suffer a lot ?!?
You know, I don't care if I get thumbs down for saying this but Brian WAS at his lowest during SUL. His voice was completely mono and he couldn't sing the high notes properly. He still rocked but he was at his lowest.
Guess why he took a break for 8 years.....to recover! Now he's back sounding like he did in the 90's! I'm going to see them in two weeks and can't wait!!
how ya goin? i am not from Aus but my wife and daughter r. i spent quite sumtime there to learn a lil aussie slang. ill be moving back der permanently very soon. anyway aka daka rules mate!
hah kool i wish i could go to australia my dream and i knew you had some australian because theyre known as akkadakka there lol i love them theyre never be forgotten even in a hindred years long live rock and roll and the kings of rock and roll aka daka
yeh bro u outta check out Aus. its like a different world out there and so awesome. bon scott's resting place is there as well in fremantle near perth where i reside. been der once b4 n plan to check it out more often after the move. was quite trip wen i saw it for the first time. anyway keep rockin man n check u later. long live ac/dc!
my younger brother and i got to the show 3hrs early on 09/05/2000 in st.louis at the savvis centar we got to here them sound check with this song twice.securty gaurd cracked the door open for us. bad ass song.

they were a great band, i wish that they would at least try to find a new singer, brian johnson was an idiot, GREAT SINGER!, but an idiot. he let all the fame and fortune get to his head and he started doing drugs and getting super drunk and died.....moron
I was at four SUL shows and I heard this song once in Chicago, it rocks, but I would have loved to hear hold me back or can't stand still!! What other new songs did they play on this tour?? I heard SUL. Meltdown, SINYC, Satellite Blues.
Phil left the band (he was NOT fired contrary to rumour) in 1983 because of a combination of Bon's death and the endless touring AC/DC did. He was replaced by Simon Wright from 1983-1989, and he in turn was replaced by Chris Slade from 1989-1994, at which point Phil returned for the albums Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip, and he's with them to this day.
Phil Rudd WAS fired because of something that happened in Malcolm Young's immidiate family and during the first sessions for the "Flick Of The Switch" album they clashed heavily over the incident and Malcolm bought Phil a plane ticket back to Australia for the next night and told him he never wanted to see his sorry ass again. And yes he was burned out from touring all the time and he also had a drug problem that needed to be taken care of.
Yeah, I have that book too. I think Phil was the one that took Bon's death the worst and they fired him for his sake to let him get himself bact together again. Malcolm nearly went the same way too with drink problems in the late 80s and had to stop for a bit but not for anywhere near as long.
Yep and his nephew Stevie filled in for him. I think they always knew that Phil would be back. While Mal was recovering, he went to see the band play in L.A and that's when he realized that Chris Slade as good of a drummer as he was, had to go.
actually Angus Young is quoted (i dont remember where haha) saying Chris Slade was a better musician then all of them, he just didn't have the AC/DC feel that Rudd did. (now i don't know if Mr. Young was just politic-ing or if he really meant it) but I'm still glad they have Phil back. Now.. if they'd get off their asses and tour one more time before I die!!
The truth about Phil's departure is that he and Mal were drunk, and got in a fight, so Mal packed Phil's bags and told him to go home the next morning.
thats how phil was fired. i dont remember where i read/saw the interview about slade but its not like im gonna fuckin lie. i dont get off on lying on youtube. its not my thing. sorry i couldnt produce the quote tho.
I think Phil was indeed fired. Ex tour manager Ian Jeffrey explained that he had a fight with one of the band after getting a relative (of the band) pregnant. As Highland45 said, he was also doing too much drugs and halucinating, and apparently felt the band had lost its closeness after Bon's death (seems a bit unfair but then they were all young back then).
Yes, but according to Ian Jeffrey, the actual reason for the sacking was the fight, which happened when a member of the band confronted Phil over the above incident. The drugs thing was going on as well, and the implication is Phil's behaviour had become all-round problematic.
Phil didn't impregnate anyone. He was the most experimental with drugs, but he never used Hallucenogens. Weed was the worst Phil ever did. the rest of the boys were drinkers and smokers, but that's all. They were pretty straight edge for a 70's band.
All it was was a drunken fight. If Phil impregnated someone, they wouldn't have let him back in again in '95.
Hell no. AC/DC will last forever. I heard sometime early next year, they will have a new album. Or it might be this DVD that contains all their rare live songs. Either one, I'm getting it!
I cant believe Brian Johnson still sounds this good. Hes gonna be 60 next year, so he was 53 or 54 when he sang this. THEY NEED TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM SOON
He s 63 man his voice is burned out from the all the ashows he does. He is great!! KEEP on Rockin

Brian Johnson was a terrible replacement for Bon Scott. There were many better options with much better voices.
