The Cult made it plenty big. Astbury and Duffy aren't washing dishes or parking cars. Astbury has a lot of integrity and a really earnest enthusiasm for music. He's pretty much spot on about a lot of American rock stars. They're not pleasant people. I'm saying this as an American who's been in bands. But not many people are pleasant when they have lots of money and power. Humans are like gremlins. They're all cute and sweet but if you feed them after midnight they turn into monsters.
