I have this on VHS. I was about 5 years old when I first saw it and my mom recorded it off tv. i kept the tape and just watched it. At 5 I didn't know what to feel, but hurt. Watching it now as an adult and having kids of my own I think, how can someone do this to their own child. i am glad that he survived and he is well.

I saw this when I was ten and it scared the heck out of me and I remember parts like this perfectly even though its been 20 years since I saw it. Another bad moment what when the doctor showed David his face and David said he looked like a monster. If you think the movie was disturbing, the book was even worse. It talked about painful treatments like being dipped into a bleach bath while having dead skin scrubbed off. The film also didn't mention that Charles would only serve 6.5 years in jail.
