Much of what he composed has been lost over time, a few random pieces, such as Canon in D, and Musikalische Ergötzun, a collection of partitas published during Pachelbel's lifetime, have survived. In fact, there is only one copy of the original manuscript for Canon in D still in existence today and it is housed in the Berlin State Library. Truly a loss for us, Pachelbel was a gifted composer. I've chosen this for when I walk down the aisle next spring!
