really poor left hand, he would have better technique by dropping his wrist down so his thumb moves behind the neck more, then he can stretch out alot more, agree anyone? so important to have good posture from the begining.

If you practised long enough, you would of realised that the tips of your fingers will callis up, making the skin tougher. You can also just bend your fingers anyway. Its best to keep your fingers as close and have as little movement as possible. yea it has nothing to do with how long you have played, its the question people always ask and its a stupid question.
