Sounds like someone fell for Philly's ESPO and his book "The Art of Getting Over". And the fabrication that cornbread was the first consistent tagger. Bullshit!

  • graffiti didnt start in the 1960's graffiti started with the cave men when they were writing on the walls and shit leavin their mark. The 1960's is when people started to make graffiti become more recognized and graffers were creating all sorts of styles and shit thats when they were goin all city.

  • As for you, Embce, your phony teachings almost made me smile.

  • grafitti started when the people of a country or kingdom were literate enough to write.

it was used to rebel and propagate alternative opinions to subvert the declarations of the ruling class or laws and order of the day..

These people with spray cans need to look at history from a much grander scale when they think about art and human communication.

  • No it started with the Bloods and Crips in LA (#1) in the early 1970's to mark territory.

  • Nah, Viva, go crawl back in your anus.

  • Grafitti started really cookin in the mid 70's.

On the NYC Subways. Some sick shit rolled all over the city.

  • Pure Art!!!Legends....shame the trains are so fucking boring now...good old days.....

  • Those who can't create often destroy. It does not take any intellectual ability or artistic creativity to scrawl your tag on a train. Real art is above these types so they destroy and vandalize.

  • hahah i get the point bout taggin but bombing does take artistic ability and some covert skillz

  • @frilter199 I agree...

  • fuck you. is the train less efficient because talented people put art on the side of it. does it take u longer to get from point a to point b. no ur stupid. why dont u go respond to a video where people care to hear you bitch. redcat faggit

  • You call that crap art? Fortunately the MTA remove such shameful graffiti in no time now.

  • @redcat608 we dont destroy trains ,we make em beatifull and if you dont appreciate art you go lie in front of the train

  • @musicboy123456 If by beautiful you mean ghetto, than they are really beatiful.

  • 0:23 graffiti tag from 1956?

  • No, thats when artist who tagged it was born. I know, it's hard to imagine that the "baby-boomers" used to be cool.

  • First of all, it's not a tag, it's a piece. Second, Kid 56 got his number from the street he lived on.

  • Dope azz shit
