  • the 3v gt's are so detuned its a joke an intake and tune gives like 40 proven hp

  • @Zswag22 And then after you do your homework you are like what the fuck did I do... I feel you I also bought a DE thinking they were all the same engines. Nissan should've put the HR motor since 03.

  • Good kill z. mod for mod would have made for an interesting race.

  • @rahu8670 I would think the mustang would walk away with intake and a tune. Those 3V's are factory tuned for 87 oct. and can pick up like 35whp with a CAI and a tune

  • @kingssuck06 very true. those 3v gt's respond really well to mods. it doesnt take to pick up power in those gt's

  • @xenowolf22 I'll post a video of me smoking a nismo to prove what I've been saying all along.

Sooo Where is that video at?

  • don't fuck with hr engine

  • the Z should have beat the mustang quicker.

  • Ok so compare the cars on paper. Mustang weighs 3600 to 3200, mustang has 260-70rwhp to I guess either 260ish or 290rwhp. So it's easy to see why this looks good on paper but you have an intake, exhaust and tune. I have similar mods in my 05 gt and the outcome would be far from opposite. And they are about the same price cars so that doesn't matter, and I would add gears but they can have 3.55 stock. So let's try not judging cars from a online video. I mean really.

  • Both sweet ass cars! The Stang is a more livable day to day car though-- seats five, a trunk etc.

  • @sdlausen Agreed, but a Mustang doesn't seat five. It seats 2 adults and 2 children.

  • @KoukiMS6 It STILL has back seats and a DAMN trunk. My friend with a 350z is always asking to use my RSX-S when he buys shit like a TV because he can only put 3 grocery bags in his car. Love the Z, but it's a pain for daily driving/life as your only car. Same goes for an S2k. Still love both the Stang and Z though ;)

  • @sdlausen I agree completely, but calling a Mustang a 5 seater is completely ridiculous! You're talking like the Mustang is a Camry or something; it can seat 2 adults and 2 children in comfort, nothing more. And yes, the Z is a horrible daily driver.

  • @333hpinline6 Are you kidding? 99% of intakes make NO difference in the Z, some even cause a reduction in power. The only way to get power out of the intakes in an HR Z is to go with the STOCK air boxes with K&N drop in filters, or go with pop chargers or short-ram intakes. Otherwise, you're just paying $350-$550 for the sound and look.

  • @IXScroungerXI yea i have an 04 and the cai is a huge upgrade. It seems the 04's respond better to aftermarket parts. Like the plenum spacer and other things.

  • 4.6 V8 reacts better to mods than 350z's 3.5 V6. I am a 350z owner if someone tries to come at me. It's just the truth. Stock to Stock: 07 vs 07 Z wins but if both have CAI Stang takes the lead by a little, removing cats will help the Stang gain more power than in the Z.

  • No, you're the idiot. The 350z never gets better than 5.1 second 0-60 and it's less than 30 hp jump over the years isnt very spectacular. Car and driver says my Stang does 4.9 0-60.. I've got very minor mods making it even faster, further embarrassing your 350z. Sorry you're a 350z enthusiast, I guess you like small uncomfortable imported slow things.

  • @xenowolf22 Unless your GT was modded with more than just minor bolt-ons, I highly doubt you've taken an HR Z. I love GTs (especially the new 5.0 GT; Ford did a really great job with them). Hell, my ex drove an '04 GT 5SPD. But I give credit where it's due, and I've pulled on slightly modded '05+ GTs in my bone stock HR. They're both great cars, but no need to insult either of them. That just makes you look immature and childish.

  • @IXScroungerXI The numbers dont lie. The mustang is faster. But since there are so many of them you are more likely to go against a terrible driver. I'll post a video of me smoking a nismo to prove what I've been saying all along.

  • @xenowolf22 Just wanted to say that I'm extraordinarily biased against mustangs for their ridiculous over population.. mainly because they are family cars and mildly sporty. Back when muscle was huge, yes they were a great car. But honestly, your numbers are fairly inaccurate.. unless you have the 5.0L. As for an actual car, I'm also biased because I believe that sports cars should be designed as sports cars..something the mustang lacks and the 350z has down packed. A real driver would take 350z

  • @LonCCP The numbers I listed are off Car and Driver since I know I need to reference things on Youtube for people like you to go and look it up yourself. You say mustang lacks qualities of a sports car, why? because of a live rear axle? What my mustang might lack STOCK in cornering, it will more than make up for in straight away acceleration over the nissan. Less torque out of that little motor means you wont keep up. I'm a real driver and the 350z is a kids toy. Ill post proof of victory over Z

  • I bet you have never even been to a track, maybe you've gone to a nice little drag strip on an open night and tested your wonderful little toy a couple times. If you knew the physics in racing an actual course you would understand the track would need significant straights for your mustang's marginal torque advantage to play. Each corner, the 350z will enter and exit at higher speeds, leaving your mustang to use its torque just to catch up post corner let alone pass. I'm done talking to Kids

  • @LonCCP You really underestimate what torque can do, and the fact that the handling is a matter of driver ability too, a decent mustang driver can out maneuver a sub-par Z driver like yourself any day. Just because a Z might be in the corners faster than a mustang doesnt mean that the Z will leave the corners faster. The mustang is already stepping on it right at the apex of a turn so with that torque they leave the corner at a higher rate of speed than the Z. Mustang COULD pass Z in corners

  • @xenowolf22 Oh, and Car and driver uses a stopwatch to time 0-60 times... rather than more reputable internal computer. Their times don't play into human error. The stock manufactured 0-60 on a 2007 mustang gt is 5.1. You even took the best time found by any of the car and driver reviews, who also state in multiple different reports discrepancies as high as 5.4. Car and driver is a horrible source for reports and times. find sources were the driver is consistent for all cars, maybe like TOPGEAR

  • @LonCCP I like how you question my driving experiences but never list your own. You're some soccer mom driving car enthusiast who thinks that they know more about cars because they've seen more episodes of TOPGEAR arent you? I've watched the show too, the british are very bias against ford cars but even they give credit to the mustang where its due, despite the live axle I do believe there is an episode where it outperforms a BMW m3.

  • @xenowolf22 I bet there are a bunch of soccer moms who know more about cars than you. I also love that you assume I own a 350z just because I realize its a better overall performance vehicle. PS. no stock mustang gt would EVER hit a corner faster than a Z... it cannot manage a lateral G. and if it tried to pass one it would be in a long straight (at least if the driver was smart). as for my credibility, I have raced and owned track cars that I built with my own two hands. I'm no pro, justa Hobby

  • @LonCCP zeroto60times puts the 08 350z nismo at 5.1 0-60 and a 1/4 at 13.6. 05 mustang GT is 5.0 sec flat. 1/4 at 13.3. AND the 08 mustang bullitt is at 4.9 0-60. while I wont list all my mods I will say that I have intake, exhaust, and a tune because those are the basics.. making me faster than the mustang GT bullitt which only has a CAI. I have yet to find anywhere that the 350Z is listed as going faster in 0-60 than a mustang.. they simply lack the POWER to get up to speed

  • @xenowolf22 stock hr 350z have been know to run 13.1 stock. i suggest you check out my350z.com to see the list of fastest times ran on different years and models, with time slips to back them up.

  • @dragsteralf To me that is irrelevant. There are literally less than 10 HR Z's which have run 13.1's, out of over 20,000 made. I know of 1 guy who can walk on water, but I won't offer that as proof that people can do it. Sorry, but the average DE Z is a 14 second car, and the HR's are mid 13's on AVERAGE, about the same as a Mustang.

  • @KoukiMS6 dude driven to its potential its a 13.1 second car. How many of the 20,000 made have actually been to a drag strip? probably a few hundred. If one can do them (or in the Z's case 10) then they all can do them. And yup with an average driver its mid 13's, good driver 13.1 is possible. And damn you people act like all the tracks are the same. It depends at what track, elevation, weather, down to the damn tire pressure what a car runs, thats why theres exceptions.

  • @TheVengefulCo Exactly, 10 cars do not represent realistically what a car can do, anymore than 10 people represent what that group can do. It is such a small percentage less than .01% of all Z's can do 13.1's. Shit, you can find a freak of a F-Body Camaro doing 12.5's, that doesn't mean it's a 12.5 second car, while the other 99.9% runs low 13's. The MAJORITY represents what can be done, not some incredibly small exception.

  • @TheVengefulCo I have to agree with KoukiMS6. In my experience, I have seen many z's run at the track. I have never seen an n/a hr z run a 13.1 at san antonio raceway. I know track prep, weather cond, and driving skill and many other things are taken into consideration. I have seen hr's trap around 105 with mods. . stock for stock hr z's and 3v gt's still make for a drivers race.

  • I own a mustang with minor mods and with 3 people in my car I smoked a 350z.. They're a joke. 370z is a different story though.

  • @xenowolf22 You're a fucking moron. 03-06 and 07-08 350z's have a noticeably big difference in HP. Idk wtf you're smoking but your piece of shit mustang prior to 5.0 can not take a 350z 07-08 stock EVER.

  • I am surprised the S197 was hanging on. I am a mustang fan but those cars are way too heavy. You can't compare a sports car to a heavy ass pony car. Of course the Z would beat it.

  • I have the de 05 z. I installed 3 surge chips , Cai, and a stage 4 clutch. I seem to hold my own weight out there.

  • Nothin a set of 3.90 gears and off road x-pipe can't take care of.. and its good by zzzz

  • @gtbol135qw hahaha you're an idiot. He raced a 350z NOT a 370. Intake, Mediocre Tune, Muffler delete exhaust. and it's game over 350zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @333hpinline6 they actually do man. noticeable differences.

  • @333hpinline6

they sound like f1 car lmao don't move though.

  • haha the Mustang did a ricer flyby

  • American "Muscle"? I didn't see too much of it here lol

  • FUCK!! i wish i would have got an HR. when i was shopping for a z i didnt know their was a DE engine a rev up, or high rev engine! thought they were all the same. now i have to live with watching HR's kill and DE being killed.

  • @Zswag22 same here bro same here =/

  • @Zswag22 That's what you deserve for not knowing shit about the car you wanted to purchase. Next time do your research.

  • @iJustDontGiveAShit ok???? thanks mom

  • @Zswag22 Anytime baby

  • yea good kill z. yea it looks if both were stock it would be dead even

  • now nice race... close one too ... =D

  • My boys 350z 08 same motor as yours has killed gts with bolt ons and all he has is catback

  • I have a 350z and mustang gt dont stand a chance unless it has Drag radials and some gears and all i have is intake and exhaust....

  • @dbrownent dont stand a chance please dude their pretty much even and thats giving the V6 props dont try to take a mile and throw some mods at a stang and see what happens bet youll spend more money to keep up.

  • great race! Had both cars been stock, I think this would be a dead even race.

  • the z has a k&n cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust. the mustang is completely stock.

  • @MrFabio350z It doesn't matter what you have on the z. A cold air intake and exhaust, almost virtually do nothing at all to the car's performance. The z doesn't respond to intakes and exhaust better than mustangs do. Either way, I'd drive a nismo.

  • @spartanxxx17 The HR motors respond very well to bolt ons, with a good tune. It's the older DE engines that don't do so well with bolt ons.

  • @ferbsnissan Really? I did not know this. Everyone i've talked to have said that I should go domestic cause Z's are hard/expensive to make fast, but if I'm seeing stuff like this, then I'm sticking with the z. If Z's can beat up on camaros and stangs, then shoot, I'll go with the z all day.

  • @spartanxxx17 Don't get too excited lol. I'm only stating that the hr engine is built stronger and easier to get good results with bolt ons. If you wanna beat up on american muscle cars you may need more than that. The Z has a cool factor that no mustang or camaro could ever have.

  • @ferbsnissan I'm not trying to kill every muscle car I see on the road. I just love the Z's and how they look, ESPECIALLY the nismo edition. I just didn't know cause the Z's cost a lot to make fast, but like you said, they do stand out.

  • @spartanxxx17 Well they're quite a bit more advanced than the mustang, plus 332 hp is alot to ask from a na 3.7L v6.....they're tuned pretty badass from the factory. I don't blame anyone for buying a mustang, they've got history and a sweet sounding v8.

I love speed and power, but for me it comes after looks. I drive a 350z and have every intention of buying a 370 in less than two years...when my winter car is paid off.

  • @ferbsnissan You mean the 370 when you said 332 hp right? I'm just making sure cause the nismo edition 350z has the same as the regular with 306 in the VQ35HR. I currently drive a mustang, but it's only a v6. I am turning it into a project. I want to build it and make it look real nice. In the mean time I'm going to need something to drive while my car gets worked on. So I've decided to get a nismo 350z lol.

  • @spartanxxx17 Yup I thought this was a 370 vs mustang video that I commented on recently.

I still like the 350 better.

  • @ferbsnissan Lol. It's all good. I agreed with you, the 350z, in my opinion, looks better. ESPECIALLY the nismo.

  • @spartanxxx17 good choice. apparently the 370z is slower than the 350z according to YT vids

  • @Leo240sx Please show me one 370z that is slower than any 350z other than maybe a Nismo 350 vs convertible automatic 370z.. Not saying they dont exist ive just never seen one.

  • damn whats done to the Z? Sounds great. and thats coming from a mustang guy!
