Yes, as we state in the video. The exercises shown are really more for the smaller/intrinsic muscles in the shoulder (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis). There will be involvement of other muscles such as deltoids, upper traps, etc. But, yes, we use these exercises in more of a clinical setting to help our shoulder patients return to full function.
They are exactly right when they say don't use too much weight . This excercise is only for the smaller muscles in the shoulder. It's a excercise to prevent injury when lifting heavier weight .
