  • They should really do this again at the El Capitan

  • So beautiful!!

  • I don't know how he does it, but Paul Williams knows how to use just the right chords to cause an emotional reaction. It sounds like simple music, but it's just something slightly off about it that's very...effective.

  • Life's like a movie, write your own ending from The Muppet Movie is 4:41-5:20. :)

  • I hate to admit it hut having Elmo on is just a bit random. They should have had Bert Ernie or Big Bird. At least they guested on the muppet show lol but overall great special. I would have killed to be there. One day I hope to be a muppeteer. They all look like they are having so much fun :-)

  • does anybody else cry when a big group of muppets walks out and starts singing a song together? I've never made it through the end of "the muppet movie" or "a muppet familiy christmas" without tearing up :)

    I LOVE THE MUPPETS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can I get this on DVD?

  • It's nice to see my fav character Scooter there!! :o) Even if it's only for a few seconds. I wish he had appeared more in this and had a speaking role since he was a main character on TMS :o( but I understand that they hadn't found a permanant performer for him yet

  • I wish they put Oscar the Grouch in this special!!!

  • @TheaterServant But he hates good things.

  • @collgoff yeah but his unpleasantness would've made the special so much funnier!!

  • zzzz

  • im sad that i saw no Animal ): but this was still great!

  • I soooooo wish I could have been there! I hope they do Muppetfest again someday.

Thanks so much for posting this!

  • i agree!!! 100%

  • Actually it's Paul Williams.

  • who is at the piano?

  • STEVE WHITMIRE as Kermit, Rizzo & Bossman

DAVE GOELZ as Gonzo, Dr.Bunsen & Waldorf

KEVIN CLASH as Elmo, Beaker & Sam Eagle

BILL BARRETTA as Rowlf, Pepe, Bossmen & Johnny

    BRIAN HENSON as Sal Milenia

JERRY NELSON as Robin & Statler

    JOHN HENSON as Sweetums

    ERIC JACOBSON as Miss Piggy

  • If you're trying to list a cast for this particular section Miss Piggy does not appear.

  • Isn't that Little Enos from Smokey and the Bandit?

  • The Muppet Show Live Kermit The Frog Rizzo The Rat Elmo Beaker Bossman Sam Egale Kevin Clash Bossman Drew Massey Rowlf The Dog Pepe Johnny Fiamma Bossman Bill Barretta Bossman Allan Trautman Sweetums John Henson Robin Jerry Nelson Sal Melina Brian Henson Dr.Bunsen Honeydew Dave Goelz Scooter Julianne Buescher 2001

  • do they still do this show?

  • unfortunately no...

  • YAY! Sweetums makes a cameo

  • It is a shame that shows like Spongebob and Reality TV have taken over what kids watch and that the Muppets fell by the way side a bit. They are the wholesome TV that we need nowadays.

  • WAIT A SECOND! How could BOTH Gonzo and Bunsen Honeydew be singing live AND at the same time if both muppets are voiced by Dave Goelz? And on a similar note, how can Scooter be in this (youll notice him in a couple of parts here) if Richard Hunt died before this was even thought of?(For those of you who don't know, Richard Hunt was the man who gave Scooter his voice)

  • Maybe there was some old records of them singin' it, and then they used it in the background now.. ; )

  • Richard Hunt is dead but that doesn't mean Scooter is :)

  • maybe someone else does his voice also... i mean, they must have understudies.. like Basil Brush.. i think theres about 5 people who can do the voice..

forgive my lack of knowlegde but when did richard hunt die? i wouldve loved to see this show live.... :-(

  • January 7, 1992.

  • Where was Oscar???

  • cause Elmo is a Muppet...

  • As Geekernator said, Elmo is a Muppet. But it's odd seeing a Sesame Street Muppet showing up for the Muppet Show reunion.

  • Maybe it was so Kevin Clash could get involved in this muppet production somehow?

  • in response to the why is elmo here question, Id like to point out that many Sesame street people were in the muppet movies

  • There was an episode that had the Sesame Street gang guest starred in.

  • @blumonkeyboy: Plus, this was in 2001, just before the Street became owned by the former CTW.

  • If I'm not mistaken, Elmo was the very last muppet charachter made while Jim (God bless him) was alive.

  • Comment removed

  • No, Elmo's been around since the 70s, although it was Clash who made him popular. He started playing Elmo in the 80s. Clash's other character Cifford is one of the last Muppets made before Jim's death, if not the last. He was made in '89.

Well, then how about Johnny and Sal? They are from '96, The Muppet Show ended in '81!

  • ALL of them are Muppets, so the show is for the whole bunch.

  • muppet show ended in 81? are you sure?

  • The Muppet Show is still made, the Muppets just turn on the cameras anymore.

  • @cavdex don't forget pepe

  • Who did sweetums here?

  • Jim Hensons son John

  • Wasn't Jim Henson's son named Brian?

  • It's his other son.

  • yes, from what i under stand brian henson took over the "jim henson work shop" after his dad died.

  • i love Rainbow Connection

  • Nice tribute to Jim Henson by John Williams.

  • That's Paul Williams.

  • Ooops, you're right...Paul Williams! Thank you :)

  • Kermit's song! I love it as a duet!!!
