@xXbrokentear I have a hypothesis about it. I think the production of the Japanese version was a bit rushed. So much of the song is in English because there wasn't enough time to write Japanese lyrics. Additionally, GD had to do the chorus because there wasn't enough time to get Taeyang to do it; seeing as GD co-wrote this song, he was more closely tied to the production of the song and thus was compelled to do the chorus himself.
