  • Interesting to see a Hit of the Week paper disc. I had a few. Mine had a spoken promo at the very end advising another disc would be available at my favorite news-stand the following week.

  • I love the horn playful interlude right after the vocal....then the sweet violins...overall...a great arrangement. LOU, Thanks SO MUCH for this send....*****

  • You're Welcome,Ida

  • it does sound a bit like coty....but i will wait for mr. fredl to give us the word. thanks. lombardo on the beach....ah....

  • I have more to come but I'm checking YT first so I don't duplicate other uploads. There's about 7 more in the pipeline.Michael(fatsfan) requested them.

  • Thanks Lou, this is a great HOW number.

Before seeing Fred's naming of the vocalist, I'm guessing 'Scrappy' Lambert.

  • No way that's Scrappy Lambert unless his jockstrap was too tight.

  • In that case I'll guess Bill Coty.

  • yes...i'm game. let's find out who the vocalist is on this recording... please tell us, fredl, and thanks.

  • Bill,I'm too busy to look it up,FredL hsa nothing to do but lay on Jones Beach and watch the Guy Lombardo Orchestra play.

  • love this version....i also have this hit of the week. they do have good sound. thanks for posting.

  • Thanks Bill for the comment.Would like to know who the vocalist is?

    I'm sure fredl will know.

  • Great music. Great pics. Amazing sound for a cardboard record.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Corrie, the playing surface is in E+ condition.

  • I became familiar with Phil Spitalny from those cardboard records, but this is the first time I have heard this tune. Great! (also, nice photo of my favorite bandleader, Isham Jones! )

  • Isham Jones co-wrote this great tune.Fatsfan requested some of these HOW's and wouldn't you know 240252 also has it uploaded.

  • Isham Jones wrote a lot of good music, including "It Had To Be You"

  • My favorite Isham Jones is "I'll Never Have To Dream Again".

  • Oh, yes! I don't have it, and have not heard it for years.

  • I'm pretty sure I have"I'll Never Have To Dream Again" on YT or DM
