  • Yes, this is indeed a death trap.

  • i go to ca it is a death trap

  • Yes, it occurs at 0:23.

  • two words DEATH TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • But they improved it, with the new chimes.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 That's no improvement. Just an ear rape.

  • It sounds very sick.

    :(

  • I know I don't like death traps, but I will accept your friend invitation, and you can start recording some elevator videos.

  • This Elevator Has A Rare Pitch Lower Pitch And Slower Tones Most Of The Lower Pitch Schindlers Have Lower Pitch And Faster Tones

  • death trap! oh and also can you accept or decline my friend invitation please? i love you elevator videos by the way!!!

  • They might as well replace all the hydraulics with a 400A MRL machine, and replace the signal fixtures to vandal resistant fixtures that don't weather out badly.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 And the MRLs might as well just rot in 15 years. :P

You need a well-built MRL. Like regular 400A. But MRLs will just replace each other, not hydros.

  • Yes, but that shows that even traditional traction is just as good as MRL, but is better made. If you want a traction in a low rise building, go with bottom drive.

  • 100% death trap i watched the retake the retake sounds a little better about 5% they still never fixed it.

  • did you make the video yet

  • He already made the video as I saw the new video!

  • Do They Service The Elevator And Did You Make The Video Of The Elevator Yet?

  • Yes, I did make the new video, and I hope it's better than this one. Also, they serviced the elevator by changing the pitch of the bells.

  • Yes, it sounds rather rough and beaten up.

  • terrible motor

  • Well, I had some Christmas shopping to do, so I didn't have time.

  • Hi Did You Make The Video Of The Elevator Yet. Just Woundering

  • I already did.

  • The machine room is behind the elevator, and I can just put my ear next to the door to hear the motor.

  • Does The Elevator Have A Service Room If It Does Can You Get The Start Up Noise Of What The Motor Sound Like. I Really Like The Sound Elevators When They Start Up

  • Yes, I did hear the rattling noise when it took off, and the slow levelling when it went down.

  • It's A Death Trap Because I Heard It Rattle When It Took Off

  • You're welcome.

  • OK Thanks For Making The Video For Me

  • All Right :)

  • Okay, I will.

  • Can You Make Another Video Or This Elevator? I Really Like This Elevator

  • I like the bells on there, and I do like Schindler elevators a lot.

  • I like The Tone Of The Bell Can You Retake The Bell And The Elevator And I really Like Those Elevators

  • Yes, they should remove the death trap, and raise the tone of the bell.

  • Wow that thing needs some fixing up. Especially that horrible bell.

  • Yes, and it's very slow when going down.

  • Death trap- going up.

  • Yes. It probably would have been better had it been inside the building, and enclosed.

  • rough takeoff and a funky bell but i would say its probaly took a beating from the weather like captain elevator told me when he replied to one of my comments

  • I think so.

  • Was the 2nd floor arrow and button also weathered like that?

  • It's actually used for the St. Paul Lutheran Church, but the University also uses it for offices.

  • What is (or was) this elevator used (or being used) for?

  • Yes, and it's pretty bumpy.

  • the takeoff going to 2 sounds like the shaking you hear in airplanes when the pilot slams the plane into the runway

  • I think there wasn't enough space inside, so they thought that installing the elevator outside was the only solution.

  • Why Is That Elevator Outside?

  • captain elevator the bell sounds a little messed up and it sounds rough taking off i would have freaked out if i was in there

  • Yes, since it was outdoors, and it might have taken a beating from the weather.

  • That's because this is actually not part of the university.

  • yes the university is being torn down. but the elevator is not being torn down.

  • No, but I wanted to record the elevators during their final farewell of the old university, which is now being torn down.

  • Are you a Concordia University student?

  • We make elevator videos for everyone to enjoy.

  • Umm. I go to this school. Just wondering, who are you people?

  • Looks like it has survive rough conditions during its useage.

  • I agree, which means this elevator, like other major brand elevators are built to last.

  • Yes, it should have had a much smoother start.

  • i would have freaked out if i was in there. good video!

  • Thank you.

  • dang that thing jolted in the beginning when it was going up

  • Yes, it sure did, since it's made of polycarbonate, and therefore the lights don't light up so much.

  • WOW! The outside call button got weathered by the sun.

  • And I have never seen anything like it.

  • Sometimes, but this had a rather bumpy ride.

  • Th sound skips. Can you retake this one?
