@Celedam I agree, but you have to agree that Japanese is the most peaceful country in the world, yes indeed there are crimes, but very little, and yes they are quite racist but no one will bother you on the streets xD it's quite a different culture

@SilverGunZoO No, I don't agree that Japan is "the most peaceful country in the world." The statement itself is unprovable hyperbole, but beyond that, that sort of "peace" comes at a price that I'm not necessarily willing to pay. Many crimes go unreported because the victims want to avoid public embarrassment, and the culture as a whole is strangled by rigid, unforgiving formality. I don't want to live in a country where simply acknowledging a passerby is seen as aberrant behavior.

@SilverGunZoO I'm willing to concede there's some study, somewhere, that says Japan has very few reported crimes, but to inflate that into "the most peaceful country in the world" is absurd. It also glosses over the deeper questions of why that is so and whether it's actually a good thing. I could lock an entire population into individual cells and achieve the same "peace." So if you're just going to throw numbers at me, then you're still wasting my time.

@SilverGunZoO in denmark you can leave your babies in their strollers outside the store and noone will kidnap them.I'm not trying to jump in you guys argument but I just had to say that.Besides,you don't know what the cops or the government covers up.With studies you have to look at who is doing the studies and who is paying for them to say a certain thing...that's why you never take a med when it first comes out on the market....because drug companies pay the researchers to say a certain thing
