To pick up your location and use the Maps app to get directions is free. However to use live navigation you have to pay a subscription fee to Nokia. Its not too expensive though, something like £30 for the year i think. I bought it and now use this phone instead of my Sat Nav so I dont have to carry 2 gadgets. Ali
