There is a deep answer to this question. the meaning to life according to Kabbalah given to us by our Creator states several things. First we are to experience, we are to observe, play out our roles both on the Path of Severity and Mercy while maintaining our course on the Middle path. But when all is said and done, the micro Cosmic man has the Quest for Illumination. The Macro Cosmic man (meaning all of us as a whole) as a quest which is "to create a new life" be it animal or robot.
