Its all about the format. You can convert your video to a small format like mpeg4 and it will give it a lot more space.

I don't have that many views/subscribers and I'm allowed to. I think it just comes up randomly if you haven't got any strikes on your account.

(Although, if you're applying for partnership, you'll probably be allowed to upload videos longer than 15 minutes anyway)

If you talk to other people who make videos and have been doing it for a while they all say pretty much that it is random who gets to do videos longer then 15 min. I actually have people who have random videos that were allowed to go longer when the other ones they make are not allowed to go over the time allotment.

go to the advance upload button ( where it says ' upload video ' to the right of the original upload button ) and you can then post videos up to 2 hours or more!

@ventilator98 I would think so, but I don't know. Try uploading a video a bit over the limit, like 16-17 minutes and see if it works. According to Luckystrike502 you just have to go by the youtube guidelines. Like no copyrighted material in the video etc. etc.

@ventilator98 Keep Uploading and YouTube will enable it for you. It will should enable automatically at some point. Whatever software they use to keep track of your stats basically says that you're a frequent Uploader and allows you to start uplaoding longer than 15 minutes. Hang in there, it will be enabled for you.
