Not only a great tenor with fantastic high notes, but a great person and colleague. He belong to that great group of tenors at the NYCO in the early 70s, together with Carreras, Domingo, Molese, Montane, Theyard and several others
I'm so happy to see these videos posted of Ricky. He was a wonderful teacher, mentor, father figure and human being. I miss him terribly but feel blessed to have had him in my life.
WOW ... what a powerhouse !!! Enrico was also my teacher at FSU who made me believe I was a Tenor, when I had come to Grad School as a CounterTenor. And indeed, His brilliance as a Human Being is very special for me to have known. And thanks so much for this...
MORE DIGIUSEPPE! If anyone has other clips of this talented artist, PLEASE post them! There is precious little available as most of his performances predated even VCR's.
I was also a student of Di Giuseppe at FSU. I recently learned of his passing and will miss him greatly. He was not only a tremendous talent, but also a great man.
Seeing this breaks my heart. I had lost touch with Ricky and Pavarotti's passing got me thinking about him. So, I just found out today about his passing. I also studied with him at FSU. He was more passionate about the craft than any teacher I've ever had. God bless him... I miss him greatly!
Thank you SOO much for posting this!!! DiGiuseppe was my former teacher and I was with him the day he passed away. He was a wonderful singer, teacher, and friend, and I loved him dearly!!

Enrico was a relative of mine - never knew him and never heard him sing. This is amazing - so sorry to hear he's gone.
