I'm white, and I don't feel any guilt. I'm not racist. I was born in the 90's after those events took place. I was born and raised knowing that hatred towards another person is a sin, and so I did my best not to(I'm not perfect). Yea, its just another Monday to me... Yea I don't have school... It's just that Im thankful for his contribution to modern society every day of the year... Not just MLK day...

I'm white. On MLK day I was suprised to find that although NYC's financial industry takes the day off, if you drive out to the suburbs in NJ, EVERYONE was at work. 30 mile drive and it was as if no-one had ever heard about MLK.

Playing off that "im Asian" comment, I was in my local anime store when a white guy asked one of the owners if he'd be open on MLK day. The answer was "Yeah, it doesn't mean anything to me." I found this curious since they are closed on Memorial Day and other holidays that wouldn't mean anything to an Asian either. Makes you want to go hmmmmm.

Or that Gahndi neglected his wife and kid for the sake of his cause. What we're taught in school isn't always accurate. But it speaks well of you when people mostly remember the positives about your life instead of the negatives.

I loved it... then in typical state fashion, budget cuts had to be made so our entire project got dropped. Probably cause we got nothing done for taking all those days off LOL.
