The refrain lacks any kind of power because she's singing it allmost an octave lower than on the studio version, really anticlimatic and quite pathetic too because its really not that high a refrain, any alto voice should be able to handle it.

@Filislusk That’s because on the studio version, it is thick with about three different harmony melody lines that have been layered up. I’ve never heard a live version of her singing its highest harmony, despite being so incredible, except in a video of her singing it in a studio recording.

@KiriBenner7 LOL I thought it was just me who notice that she is a bit "out there" during her concerts. I mean that in a good way of course. I have seen her take sips of beverages during most of here smaller concerts and it doesn't look like water. LOL

I almost get the feeling that she might have some kind of issue and maybe needs the "liquid courage" because during her interviews she seems unusually timid.

I guess all the greats have issues that make them great.

Love this band, they need to come to the US ASAP. What talent! Just Awesome, the creativity, symbolism, and occult like feeling is absent in this country. Imagine if they had a concert budget like a Britney Spears?

It's great to see an artist who can have fun with her music, she puts some effort into putting on a memorable performance without extreme theatrics, and even if her voice is a little inconsistent it's still expressive and great to listen to. In this case, I think it actually contributes a lot to the song, her voice sounds gentler and fragile, which goes along with the meaning behind the metaphorical lyrics about her career.

I have met Florence on several occasions from when they first started out doing small gigs all over england, and I can assure you that she is a redhead, tho not bright orange, and if you check some early footage on youtube you will see that, however, its a small matter, not worth arguing over, suffice to say the band are excellent and would be even if she was a baldilocks, Lol, cheers mate. x

Wish I could have seen this. I love this live version of the song. Maybe they should expand it though :) With enough acute variations, this could easily carry for 15mins. Personally I would love every second, which is surprising because the album version is a bit too frilly for my taste. Brilliant song though, and to think they nailed it live is an incredible feat.
