I came to school with hives last year before I was prescribed any medicine, people looked at me like I was a diseased freak! My palms were literally one giant hive, and in between my fingers too! I couldn't write without it itching! D:
I have acute urticaria and eczema, it's hellish! The red weals are all over my body and it can be terribly sore. I'm currently on a prescribed antihistamine called Telfast which I take at night before bed because I was having trouble sleeping with the itching, which has helped a little. I've heard rose water and vinegar applied to the skin helps and a mint and brown sugar hot water drink helps with the itch too. At the moment it's making me incredibly miserable, I feel like a leper!
i shower everyday and everytime i shower i getmore of those little itchy bastards Dx there all over my legs and alittle on my arms and its so annoying and blah!!! Dxx
thanks for sharing daisy, i just got hives for 9 days, i am pretty sure this will last a long times, but i still believe that God will help us, keep our head up. i am on Benadryle, i got them on upper legs, back and bodies, i got them at night time, during my sleep, so i pretty sleepless. let continue pray for each other. God Bless u all.
Does stress cause hives? I need to know asap. I had one on my ass cheeks, one on my arm, thats it... It doesnt be in a big patch. Just those two. And i am now stressed out.
*(lol, sorry) to heat or when I'm nervous or excited. Its the worst feeling in the world to go to gym class, get really hot and sweaty, then start breaking out in the middle of class. It's so unbearably itchy!!
I have chronic hives ,i have been suffering from this over 20 yrs . My hives get very huge and sometimes i just itch all over with small bumps. I suffer from chronic fatigue and a slight fever also....The doctors will be examining me with blood tests ,because it could be an immune systen disorder...talk to your doctor and see a specialist for immune disorders.good luck. It could also be Lyme disease...
I got them two days ago on my arms, knees, back. and the palm of my hands get really itchy, I can't believe anyone could have this for a year or more.
i had been suffering from hives for 1 year now. and suddenly got cured from it. thanks to my new diet and exercise. email me at jjyo888@yahoo.com so that i can give you a list of foods to eat.
I'm 15 years old and I think I have this, but it might be the beginning stage. It feels like needles in your skin and it itches like crazy, I have it in my hands, feet, chest, and the top of my head. Everyone says it lasts for hours, but mine lasts for about 5 minutes.
I had Hives for over 8months. I went to many different kind doctors and tried many medicines and creams, but did not really help. Finally I found a good quality vitamin supplement, my hives are totally gone in 10days. Good quality antioxidant supplement reall helps hives! I bought a book from Amazon which rate over 1500 brands vitamin supplement qaulity which we can find in the market. Let me know if you want to know your current brands vitamin qaulity rate.
i also have it for 4 months now and i am desperate. it only appears after 4-5 o clock in the afternoon in the morning i am clean. i tried 10 different treatments and nothing, i got it from bees, i have a business with honey and i never thought i am allergic to venom. ironic, they give me money but they also fucked me up...
I completely understand your situation. I broke out everywhere like a few days ago and had to go to school for tests. It was embarrassing to hide the hives when they're growing right in front of you.
I have chronic cholinergic idiopathic urticaria for 10 years now. Right now i'm on doxepine 2x day and 2xday loratadine which helps me. It's still hard though sometimes. Well, good luck and strenght with the battle!
i have hives during summer in China every year, but in Singapore or US, i won't develop it. It is very strange. In 2004, I went to china during summer, and i suffered a very severe hives, and i kept on taking anit-histamine for 2.5 years before i stopped the medcine.
Too bad, i went to china again several weeks ago, and guess what?! hives again!!! That really sucks! I just hope that it will go away soon. Luckily, i will have a winter to spend in New york this year, and it should go away.

it must suck to have them so often, I barely developed hives and Im going to my third week now because I had an allergic reaction to laundy detergent. Im also allergic to certain deodorants and stuff. Its very desperate cuz you itch the entire time I cant even sleep. It must feel horrible to develope urticaria. Im so sorry =( ugh hope we both get better.
i've had this for at least 5 years now. have been taking allegra which helps alleviate the symptoms but not completely. i've gotten a 2nd opinion, going to see an allergist and just saw a hematologist. i have elevated levels of Immunoglobulin M...which may or may not mean anything. i'll see the allergist tomorrow. but i doubt we'll find one specific cause to this. my doctor has some speculations, but nothing is sure yet.
im A- and have chronic urticaria sice two years...it hauntsa me every nite...but if i take a pill i'm at ease for about two days...i also get the restricted chest feeling during my sleep....

@dietodaydotcodotuk hi. i'm currently not on meds anymore. and i'll tell you my blood type when i find out. i'm going to post a new video about my hives very soon.

damn...I also have Chronic Hives and I have had it for 2 yrs, those medicines that my doctor prescribed r completely useless except for making me sleepy...but since my mom's got some chinese medcines from a traditional chinese pharmacy, and I have been better since I started taking it.
if you have to take antihistamines.. watch out for big brand names zirtek and benedryl etc..
..go for small brands.. they are a 3rd of the price, make sure you get safer antihistamines like CERITIZINE HYDROCHLORIDE - no drowsiness, better for you
to be honest, id get off meds all together, its tough..but worth it... NATURE can fix you... DRs prescribe meds rather than give good advice.. GOOD ADVICE and NATURE is FREE
I've been struggling with Urticaria from time to time and even though it's nothing serious but can be really annoying and embarrassing when you need to feel scratch the itching around! I take Xyzal medicine to keep it control as soon as I stop taking it, I tend to get it back with few days time.
I was diagnosed with prurigo nodularis around 4 years ago. I had it around 2 years before I got given a diagnosis. GP's were just not interested, I had to go back and fore to the them on a weekly basis before I got sent to dermologist. Had UVB light treatment for a year at the hospital, it all cleared up, 3 months went by and I thought the prurigo coming back, but ithe lumps were different. I was told by the GP that it was hives and should clear. It hasn't and I have had it ever since.
This condition sucks i have had it for about 7 years, everyday it comes no pattern really i cant live my life properly i think they need to do more research on this as i dont think they realise how debilitating this is.I have been on every type of antihistamine and your body gets imunne after a while,i really hope yours doesnt last as long as mineand make sure you you reasearch hives so you can tell your doc what you want him to test for otherwise you will just get put on more pills good luck
I have had rather severe hives for a week now. I am on prednisone and it mostly works, but I am afraid when this medicine runs out I will be fucked. Benadryl has zero effect. Claritin zero effect.
This is fucking unbearable. It sounds like people on youtube can still go out and function, but I cant. Its everywhere and horrible. It comes on for 3 or 4 hours, goes away for 1 or 2, then comes back.
Why the fuck does a human body do this? I am pretty demoralized.
@labartic I am in the same boat man, two days ago i had a severe breakout, doctor also put me on predisone and an initial injection that immediately cleared it up but now i woke up today and i am breaking out again. i hope its not chronic.
@rfinch45 Well have hope. Mine has cleared up almost 100% on its own. After doing research on GMO foods and vaccines... theres so much evil shit that we eat and get injected with these days.
Go to a 100% organic diet and I think it could help. Shop at whole foods. Dont put any more fucked up foods into your system. It may help, also youll feel healthier eating well.
Let me know how youre doing, and get plenty of rest. Dont scratch it either and wear loose clothing.
... well currently i stopped taking my meds, i break out every week or so, like on my neck (where i wouldn't have any clothing) o_0 and my thigh or something. i'm tired of taking meds, and i really only eat vegetables now.. so. :T
@copyrightdaisy Glad to hear it hasnt drove you nuts. The worst part, after the hives all over my body, was the fear it wouldnt go away. It was severe for 3 or 4 days and it was hell. Just non stop itching and irritation from wake up to bed time.
@labartic I am on day 4 of the predisone and everyday its been less and less moslty on my forearms, i think its was the hard exercise that i was doing the two weeks before, doing two a days 3 times a week and only eating about a meal a day.
do your best to keep your stress down what i was trying to say to you was that you should start living a happy life free of the hives by doing your best not to think about things that worry you also God loves you and it is my hope that you will be able to get away from the stress and the hives peace
@67ricgh dude hives have nothing nothing to do with stress its not even a dissorder its a reaction to an alergy or a virus i would know in fact i had the chronic hives that lasted for about a month reacted to cold water, ice, plain water cold air when i was a little itchy theyd boom and go away with in a day
you guys and gals can keep taking antehistamines but ur only treating the symptoms what is happening is ur so stressed out that ur body is in overdrive its sending white blood cells to ur skin trying to fight off something but in reality its you and ur stress you sound stressed i know you will be cured if you stop stressing i saw a lot of patients like u without a liscence and my advice always worked and i got hugs i hope you help anybody else with the problem in the future ps. start ur life
... i am starting my life. i haven't taken my antihistamines in weeks and i still break out. it is caused from stress, and i've had them for a year. they will go away. you don't have to worry about me, having hives doesn't mean i'm going to stop living.
sweety i am not a doctor but listen carefully to what i am about to say if your hives are chronic all its from is from stress that is a promise and if they only lasted for like a day and never again came back within the year it is a simple allergic reaction try this the next time you get theses hives realize that you are extremely stressed out do something to relax and watch them leave for good this is for everyone i had medical knowledge given to me on a silver plater in the navy
yea i am 13 and i have had it for 11 months and i know how it feels ! :( so wot pills do u take? cuz i take antihistamine (zirtec) but it doesn't work!
hey i found this article from the associatedcontent website, it says that eating alot of vegtables such as spinach which has a lot of b12 and vitamin C may prevent it, I'm not sure if it will work but I'm going all out in getting rid of this annoyance.
i don't trust the pills for some reason, they do relieve you of the hives for couple of hours but it is not natural. I think it is best to let your body fight it off which would develope a strong antihistamine system. Medicine would always cause sideeffects , I'm not getting the hives right now after I took b12 and the viatmin C pill, which helps you build a strong antihistamine system but takes times, but what cannot kill you only makes you stronger.
at first, i thought it was vitamin c that made me break out. but it really just happens everyday, no matter what i eat. i eat healthy, and still get hives. :T
so i just take my pills and i have hydroxzyine if i break out.
But yeah I think I healed, fourth night I did not have hives and didn't take any medicine that day. I'm only taking 500mg of B12 and 1000mg of vitamin C a day which boosts up my immune system like crazy. But yeah you should def check out associatedcontent they tell you natural ways of curing hives.
i don't know if I have chronic hives but i had it for two days and it suck, I wake up in night waking up like "the thing" from fantastic four. Are you allergic to anything I think I got it from some fabreeze or spray, but yeah i can't believe we have no technology to cure this strange occurance.
@Congo4life in order for it to be chronic hives, you would have to have it for at least six weeks. Also, chronic hives are not the same as an allergic reaction. It is your body over producing anti-histamines. Very different from being ALLERGIC to fabreeze
this is unbelievably boring why don't you get to the piont? you sound like a drug induced comatose dope, get your knockers out and liven it up a bit

@67ricgh dude hives have nothing nothing to do with stress its not even a dissorder its a reaction to an alergy or a virus i would know in fact i had the chronic hives that lasted for about a month reacted to cold water, ice, plain water cold air when i was a little itchy theyd boom and go away with in a day
super65man 2 years ago
they might go away in a day but having hives for a year is an issue.
i've had it for over a year now.
when i didn't have medication, i had it for four months, at least twice a week.
they're still an issue, and definately mess with your life.

... i am starting my life. i haven't taken my antihistamines in weeks and i still break out. it is caused from stress, and i've had them for a year. they will go away. you don't have to worry about me, having hives doesn't mean i'm going to stop living.

sweety i am not a doctor but listen carefully to what i am about to say if your hives are chronic all its from is from stress that is a promise and if they only lasted for like a day and never again came back within the year it is a simple allergic reaction try this the next time you get theses hives realize that you are extremely stressed out do something to relax and watch them leave for good this is for everyone i had medical knowledge given to me on a silver plater in the navy

@67ricgh SURE LOL
Give me a fucking break, honestly. I have a pretty stress free life and for no reason I break out in horrible hives everywhere.
Other times when I am much more stressed out, no hives... so what the hell kind of logic is that?
You must be wrong.

hey i found this article from the associatedcontent website, it says that eating alot of vegtables such as spinach which has a lot of b12 and vitamin C may prevent it, I'm not sure if it will work but I'm going all out in getting rid of this annoyance.

i just take my pills and i don't get them most of the time..
copyrightdaisy 2 years ago
i don't trust the pills for some reason, they do relieve you of the hives for couple of hours but it is not natural.

so i just take my pills and i have hydroxzyine if i break out.
copyrightdaisy 2 years ago
But yeah I think I healed, fourth night I did not have hives and didn't take any medicine that day. I'm only taking 500mg of B12 and 1000mg of vitamin C a day which boosts up my immune system like crazy. But yeah you should def check out associatedcontent they tell you natural ways of curing hives.

i don't know if I have chronic hives but i had it for two days and it suck, I wake up in night waking up like "the thing" from fantastic four. Are you allergic to anything I think I got it from some fabreeze or spray, but yeah i can't believe we have no technology to cure this strange occurance.
Congo4life 2 years ago
@Congo4life in order for it to be chronic hives, you would have to have it for at least six weeks. Also, chronic hives are not the same as an allergic reaction. It is your body over producing anti-histamines. Very different from being ALLERGIC to fabreeze
