@Solareffects again you might just be right and probably are but we definately need to help the lower classes as a priority especially considering the growing seperation of wealth in America. You're right the rich should pay more in taxes not only because it is good economic policy but also because they make use of the public resources and infastructure more than anybody in order to make and sustain their wealth.
if the bush tax cuts were going to stimulate the economy and growth they wouldn't have created economic decline, debt, deficit, and drove us toward a full blown recession. The status quo (which are the Bush tax cuts extended to the top 2%) is unsustainable and poor ineffective economic policy. I'm sorry I can't support that, I can't afford to and frankly none of us can.
@Solareffects you're probably right but it would have been a tough pill. I at least think the burden should be shifted off the backs of the middle class.
Obama thinks his level headedness, rational thinking, and willingness to compromise will make conservative voters approve of him as the president. All conservatives will do is exploit it to get through as much neocon legislature while lambasting him as intensely as they can. The sooner Obama grows a spine and takes a stand on something, the better. At this rate he is headed for a single term as president.
@rickbar123 I feel this is really about corporate greed.. I know lots of wealthy people who say they would not mind paying more taxes.. They will not do so if they do not have to... so it must be the corporate lined pockets of the republicans that are screwing this country until we will be .... no more.
@emeralds222 Yeah you are right, there are some that would gladly pay their fair share, one in particular who is vocal about is is Warren Buffet, one of the richest men in the world.
Quit your crying about Obama...If you attack the rich whom pay 95 percent of all taxes....who will pay you moron....You?????..who will pay you idiot....Oh, your unemployment check that I am paying for will not....now quit your crying
@cemcem96 I think we need to structure taxes better as there is no need to tax a wealthy person who creates a business here & employs people the same as you tax a corporation who gets tax credits for outsourcing jobs to India or pay them to hire foreigners & bring them here, which we have done & continue to do.
Idk is that too crazy for Republicans & democrats to agree on? Atm the people who get screwed are those who are self employed making 75k- 500k.
Senator Weiner, you are one of the few Democrat Congressional voice speaking on issues.
Why for the last two years have the rest of the Congressional Democrat been so silent? Why must we wait for you or the President to do all the fighting? Why over the last two years have there been so many Congressional Democrats who oppose the President no matter what he does?
The answers to these question weaken the Democrats as a party.

I'm extremely offended by this.
O'Bama lost my vote.. It's making us HATE the rich... It's making us want to HANG THEM. Class warfare should have ended in the French Revolution!
