GAO is seeking information regarding cases in which state foster children have been prescribed psychotropic medication outside of federal regulations or accepted medical standards of practice - drugs in dosages that exceed accepted standards, children prescribed psychotropic drugs for purposes other than a medically accepted indication, or children taking numerous psychotropic drugs concurrently. Every child I wanted to adopt they sent back home to a crackhead again. I am not giving up hope though it's getting hard to keep seeing them leave when they don't want to go.
These wonderful people interviewed here encourage me to continue plans for adopting a child from foster care.
