Do you think that this route you took will be doable still in the last week of October? I hear there can be too much snow even for the long route by that time.
I love that hike too. I've been up from Lost Lake twice. I tried from Williams Lake a few days ago but turned around for various reasons about 500 ft below the summit. I'll be back though for sure, great hike.

This was October 2007. Been up at least seven times, this being the most windy by far.
