I could go for Less annoying names for weapons, for example, Sluggish revolver is not sluggish, Defective Heavy Pistol [Desert Eagle] is not Defective... Medium-Speed Pistol [92FS] is same speed as all the rest. It's just annoying. You didn't get no rear view mirrors in your vehicles for christ sake, no reach-around-and-look!
The saving grace: The melee combat and the zombies are the best I've ever seen. No contest.

It ran off of Java Scripting and HTML and had an annoying glitch where the figure would drop his sword after killing someone. I couldn't get that fixed and people complained about it. I didn't end up caring too much, it was 08'.
As for the basic names and shit of the guns, I've got 17 stored pistols in the game and I've seen no real difference name-wise.

Hmmm this game is very fun to play with friends but its nothing by yourself. I JUST watched the announcement trailer for the first time, easily one of the best trailers I have ever seen in my life. Up there with Onimusha 3's intro. I believe though, that gameplay and story don't always have to mesh exactly, to go well together. If that makes sense. They agree it's not based on the trailer (ofc not, the trailer should be based off the game) The trailer only sets the mood for the game. Showing why you fight the zombies, why you should care. The story does the rest.
Hype is just an extreme form of interest. Trailers ARE made to get you interested. If you get hyped up, that is on you.
In this case they used an incredibly strong story to drive the trailer. As a result, people became very very interested. Most likely more interested than they anticipated.
Thing is. This IS very much related to the game. It sets the mood like i said earlier. And it gives a good outline of what happened. That makes it highly related. +End=Gameplay footage

Well from what gameplay I've scraped from youtube, this game is actually fairly average. It will most likely get 8s or possibly 7s. ts not a terrible game, but clearly more time should have been put into the survivors AI, as well as the voice acting. And the cutscenes and facial expressions. God, DEFINETLEY the facial expressions. There's this one time Xian Mei goes lazy-eyed in a cutscene. weirdest thing I've ever seen in a game.
It's understandable about the spilt screen part. This seems like an open world rpg a bit, so it would stretch things out for the engine if it has to try to track 2 people on one box.
Have heard rumors that Dead Island will have system link capabilities can anyone confirm or deny this as i just have come into possession of another 360.

@TheFaisalano This isn't a generic zombie game by any stretch. generic zombie games is just survive waves of zombies, usually without any kind of dynamic crafting or story. this has both of those and more to boot.
They agree it's not based on the trailer (ofc not, the trailer should be based off the game) The trailer only sets the mood for the game. Showing why you fight the zombies, why you should care. The story does the rest.

The problem with trailers these days is that people expect what they see in the trailer to ALL be in the game.
The point of a trailer isn't to display accurately what is in a game. That is for gameplay footage/previews.
A trailer, much like an everyday advertisement is to get you interested in the game. For a lot of people that also includes researching the game.
Hence interviews like this one.

Hype is just an extreme form of interest. Trailers ARE made to get you interested. If you get hyped up, that is on you.
In this case they used an incredibly strong story to drive the trailer. As a result, people became very very interested. Most likely more interested than they anticipated.
Thing is. This IS very much related to the game. It sets the mood like i said earlier. And it gives a good outline of what happened. That makes it highly related. +End=Gameplay footage

Well from what gameplay I've scraped from youtube, this game is actually fairly average. It will most likely get 8s or possibly 7s. ts not a terrible game, but clearly more time should have been put into the survivors AI, as well as the voice acting. And the cutscenes and facial expressions. God, DEFINETLEY the facial expressions. There's this one time Xian Mei goes lazy-eyed in a cutscene. weirdest thing I've ever seen in a game.

It's understandable about the spilt screen part. This seems like an open world rpg a bit, so it would stretch things out for the engine if it has to try to track 2 people on one box.

Uhm left 4 dead with just axes and chainsaws as weapons. There has got to a gun shop somewhere but oh wait the gun shop is not accessible beacuase the game only let's you punch and kick.
