You should be able to play Gmod with that computer, but it would be a good idea to check the system requirements for the game on the steam store web page for it.

One question that will help determine how much RAM is optimal: is your OS 64-bit or 32-bit?

If 32, you've got the best amount of RAM.

If 64, the best amount would be 8 gigabytes of RAM, but 4 is still adequate.
