fleche's are not permitted in sabre, because they cause the feet to cross - the correct term for a sabre attack similer to a fleche is a flunge the terms are not really interchangable.
@ShuyuKoukin you are right - no fleches in sabre, the terms are not interchangable in proper fencing terminology. You will never hear an IFA ref refer to a flunge as a fleche-they are two seperate attacks.
his flunge sucks. the problem with expert village is that, while their info is pretty accurate, their demonstrations look nothing like that of an action in a real bout in real time.
This is supposed to be a beginners lesson?! Who would want his fencing student to hop the planche up and down when he or she doesnt even know how to do the basics properly? I would say the fleche is forbidden until you can do a simple attack with a step forward or a lunge (plus you should be able to do something if your fleche misses).
I would parry 5 that "flunge" and take off Jason Sheridan's left arm with the riposte.

we are aloud to saber fleche in saber, (also called a flounge) but we cannt cross our feet.
