  • Combat liberalism,support socialist revolution!

  • keep der kampf kameraden

  • I like Mao Zedong but I hate Deng Xiaoping !!!

  • I don't understand, is Mao saying that a liberal society is don't take part in the decision making of your government, collective etc. then complain after it gets passed?

  • Good video.

    I agree.

  • Thank you for making this video because I have read this work before, and the way that we use the term "liberalism" today was kind of confusing me on what Mao actually meant. Once again, thank you for explaining this topic.

  • One of my favorite books

  • @RedMusicSinging i mean works

  • Thankyou very much for this. Too often we forget these principles and thereby defeat ourselves without our enemies having to lift a finger. Dedication to a revolutionary cause can only come through active discussion and actively living a revolutionary life.

  • Thank you for making this video. We are all equal and we should treat each other as such. I love how Mao put things b/c they are very on the nose and these lessons can still be applied in today's society. Considering I used to be a liberal, I was blind until I actually started looking at society and how it was not the "utopia" the bourgeois made it out to be and looking at the socialist side of things. It was quite intriguing and, well, revolutionary.

  • Could China begins another war for the Falklands/Malvinas? I hope, thy are supporting Argentina and since always. It is one the most delicated examples of the neoliberalism pretending to "abuse" of power.

  • I understand the need to intellectually combat reactionary elements and keep the debate alive. But I think we must keep in mind that Liberals in modern society suffer from extreme cases of Political Correctness that leads them to stifle free speech through peer pressure and causes them to not speak candidly.

  • There's a reason I liked Malcolm X more than Martin Luther King Jr.

  • Is there such thing as a collective brain, or is it rather a medium drawn from many minds into some hodgepodge of an idea?

  • Ive always rather liked combat liberalism

  • This principle will prove pretty useless in practice, if power is surrendered to centralized governance, how could people speak out against the institute that controls what they depend upon for survival?

  • @radroatch because they idea was discussed, not forced. them same applies to the collective ownership of a factory.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2

Well force is not the only way tyrannical systems have come to power, nor is it the means by which many like our own, in large, are maintained; though with comparable discourse within the populace force becomes somewhat more necessary, as people are increasing awaking to in light of resent reactions to political and economical events

If the control the people have is forfeited, then the governance will no longer be accountable, and when people react to the injustice that…

  • @MaoistRebelNews2

… will arise in unaccountable institution/s,the empowered will respond to maintain this institutional rule in a way that perceptively suits those who now hold the power best, regardless of the externalities

If the power structure could take food, water, electric, family, lives to stop dissent then unless something can counter act that power, what is to say they would not and what is the cost or success will causing dissent have…

  • @MaoistRebelNews2

…The reason collective ownership works so well for the general interest is because it has structures for social accountability, the control is not surrendered

While I do agree with many of the principles in this video I believe that social responsibility should be entrusted and maintained in the hands of an educated public. I also think that this definition of liberal is largely altered from its technical meaning, much as the words is under modern interpretation

  • Comment removed

  • Those of us who have spent extended periods in the Third World fully understand the meaning of Liberalism and, especially, Neo-Liberalism.

  • great video

  • I always call out my friends when they something racist or discriminatory. I encourage more people to do it too.

Also someone today said that Mao's china made suicide rise. I put the guy and propaganda in his place.

  • @wesleysonic Yea that's a complete load of bullshit. The suicide rate among women sky rocketed for peasant women in the last three years.

  • Great video! This is one of Mao's works that is most readily applicable to everyday life, even outside of direct revolutionary struggle. Understanding this work is critical in understanding how to carry oneself as revolutionary communist. Very well done and thorough explanation.

  • This is one of Mao's important filosophy of Maoism

  • Great Video Comrade:) very informative and yes i am guility of it too at times.

  • Hmm...

A very interesting observation Maoist Rebel.

    Thanks for sharing...

  • Not to nitpick but the term Que Sera Sera meant the opposite of what your implying. It actually meant that fate is in God's hands so you should try your best and let fate judge your worth accordingly.

  • @CommissarRed Didn't know that was religious.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 The song gets its name from a popular phrase on coats of arms throughout Europe. Its not religious per-se but the saying does imply that fate is a judge of the worth of yourself and your actions "the futures not ours to see whatever will be, will be" when most people including those who put it on there coat of arms think of a "concious" fate they mean God. Though the song is ambiguous it basically means both try and hope for the best.

  • Totally open all the time in front of the group at large is a tall order for some people. Some people are very introverted and others very shy. There are other reasons than liberalism as to why some people say and do nothing.

  • @freedomwv That's why Mao said in it to encourage people. Its no democracy if people refuse to speak up!

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Speaking up does improve democracy that's for sure.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Is that a Nazbol flag in the thumbnail?..

  • @iippo06

I think it's the flag of the Chinese Soviet Republic. The color scheme is out of use nowadays in leftist circles.

  • @freedomwv Yes, I would agree with that, but you have to understand that Mao's work was meant to encourage people to become better communists, not to beat them down. I myself am very shy, but understanding the importance of speaking up as a communist has motivated me to participate more when I'm in a group setting. I view "Combat Liberalism" as very useful as a tool for self-criticism because we have all exhibited some of these traits at one time or another and we all need to improve.

  • @InternationalSoviet Well, the question then becomes how long should a revolutionary society maintain combat liberalism? I would guess at some point the society must become more moderate over time.

  • @freedomwv Combating liberalism should remain an ongoing process. I would compare it to exercising. If you exercise to get in shape and succeed, you must still continue to exercise to stay in shape. It makes no sense to say that you are now fit and no longer need exercise to maintain your endurance, physique, strength, etc. Remnants of liberalism will continue to exist at the personal and societal level and must, therefore, still be combated in order to remain "in shape".

  • I'm politically liberal thinking, but not in the Maoist sense.

  • @madjimms To an extent they are one and the same liberalism as a political ideology stems from liberalism of the individual.

political liberalism "why should people have to work together if they do not want to" stems from the personal liberalism of "why should 'I' have to work with someone I do not want to".

Communism would ask you why you do not want to work with other/your people

  • @1988theLAW "why should I care if my big ass diesel pickup is spewing carcinegenic soot, its not like its hurting anyone else, its scienficiallimity proven its more hippy friendly than gas! Fox news told me so!"

That is the anti-liberal type of thinking that HURTS people & the places we inhabit.

  • @madjimms This trend is worrying because liberalism tends to get "worse", as it is, as often as not all about self interest, both personal and political self interest are damaging to the masses as it continually evolves into a form of narcissism & political egoism to the point were the masses are there for the purpose of serving the "Liberal Tyrant" and his cronies who oppress us "for our own good"

  • @1988theLAW Sometimes the greater good is better than individuals self destructive behaviors.

  • Liberalism is a form of tyranny as it renders all discourse as irrelevant, "we are banning smoking"

    why

    "because its bad for you"

    but i like smoking

"yes but it is bad for you and those around you therefore its bad for everyone"

but it is not, I do not smoke near other people

    "irrelevant it is still bad"

surely i a tax paying citizen have the right to smoke if i do not harm anyone else and am aware of the damage i would do to myself

"regardless it is bad and we are doing this for your own good"

  • He means the economics of liberalism; Ie. Classical liberalism, ordo-liberalism, neo-liberalism, american libertarianism, etc.

  • @Valdermarijslav1 you suck.... im second!!! XD!

  • Basically, Combat Liberalism translates to "Combat being a pussy"

  • @AtheismCentral it also means to combat reactionary liberalism. Just letting things slide for the sake of peace. Like the gun control position, liberal peace at the cost of personal freedom.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2

Liberals tend to piss me off more than conservatives. At least conservatives will stand up for their shit, stupid or not, Liberals bend like their made of paper.

Liberal: "Well I don't want to start an argument, so I'm just gonna get back in the kitchen."

  • @AtheismCentral Plenty of conservatives to that to.

  • @madjimms

Sure, but the conservatives I met seem like they'd go and kill other liberals if they could lol.

  • @AtheismCentral Yeah, I usually get threatened at leased twice a day for "being a pussy liberal" when I state my opinion & defend it. Not all liberals are complacent with bullshit in this world. :-)

  • @madjimms

I'm sure not all, but I've yet to see a revolutionary liberal lol

  • @AtheismCentral What about WeirdLiberalhead?

  • @MaoistRebelNews2

LOL I forgot about him, at the same time though, he doesn't want Occupy to get violent (hits head on desk)

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 the whole point in liberalism is being able to do what you like if it doesn't hurt others. How can people disagree with that?

  • @drunkglitch Because shit does hurt other people. Libertarians don't care that their actions harm others, Liberals just pretend it doesn't.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 could you give me some examples of how actions harm others
