PCs are dependant on how good your graphics card is etc. The argument vs console will go on forever, but XBOX 360 and other consoles GUARANTEE quality and speed whenever you buy a game. I was a die hard PC Gamer since 1995, but got fed up spending a fortune upgrading graphics or rebuilding custom PCs.

When a console is launched has limited strength, i mean, you cannot change Xbox 360 or playstation 3 video card or CPU right? a PC is upgradable and ofc that's why PC wins. SO Far Cry 2 maxed out will work better on a Core i7 and a GTX 590 (for example), even with a Core 2 Quad q9950 with ATI HD 5770 :P

The reason why games often look better on PC's rather than on consoles is because the hardware is constantly evolving. Consoles use the same hardware for 3-4 years. When the Xbox 360 came out, it had really good hardware for its time. Comparing it to top end PCs today and its pretty mediocre.
