This is "Ciocarlia", pure Romanian folk music! He is actually Jewish born in Romania. Excellent guitar player but totally disliked the Pink Panther theme included in this beautiful music. In any case, this is not flamenco.

There aint much that's Romanian about the bass playing, nor the Pink Panther reference.

But, agreed, I wouldn't describe it as "Flamenco," either, though there are elements of Flamenco in it.

And, as with much European folk music, there's bound to have been a certain amount of cross-breeding between styles as people travelled around.

I tried it with my guitar and I could get some minute sounds to come out, but not anything like that... He must just have a REALLY really really strong tremolo, cause it takes a lot to get a real sound out like that... And he's probably using the edge of his nail to 'fret' the note.

This is actually an romanian song wrote by Grigoras Dinicu, it is called Ciocarlia( The Lark ), what they are doing is a transcription of this song in flamenco. You can't say it is poor, is ther view of this song, but it was never meant to be plaied this way, nontheless i think is a good piece of work and i listen to it with pleasure.

the song isn't neither grrek nor framenco. It's a romanian song called "Ciocarlia" ("ciocarlia" is a little bird). try searching "notgros ciocarlia". that's the original. anyway, the player is fantastic. great skill
