I am Schizoaffective which means. Which means I am Schizophrenic and have a mood disorder..I have clinical depression. Living with it can be a night mare.
I don't know about the rest of you... But my schizophrenia is the best thing that could've happened to me. Maybe I was lucky to not have a severe case... But, I am a firm believer that schizos have a mind that can grasp this universe more than the human capacity... And a mental "disorder" becomes diagnosis. I struggle with my confusion, and delusions, but I have gained a form of insight that most cannot even conceive. *hugs and kisses with riches of grins*
It's almost as if he'd had a stroke, (the way he talks I mean) My dad had a stroke and when he called and said he wanted to come home..his words were all over the place, he was so frustrted, but it got better....weird
i dont think he will ever screw a woman in his life because hes crazy thats one bad thing about it u cant get with any girls or get laid...id rather be sane
Who should he take those drugs when he can just go to one of Benny Hinn's faith healing and be cured, or just drink some of Peter Popoff's FREE Miracle Spring Water®?
The ending narration just broke my heart! That poor man and his family. What a debilitating, horrifying illness. It's been 23 years since this documentary was made.... I hope Bob is as okay as he can be. God be with him :(
i think his grandma almost bust out laughing when he asked to bless our loved ones for hearing and seeing and smelling purposes. schiz is frustrating and very lonely, especially when loved ones aren't loving at all. he already is a man dad.
By god, this guy should replace Chris Hitchens. He has the look, he smokes, he was a debater and while his schizophrenia might distract him he will still be ten times better than anyone religious he debates.
my psychiatrist told me that I have a high chance of becoming a schizo, I am almost 30 years old and yet nothing happened. I am still wondering about the possibilities
@yahmana please, i hope u were not joking about what ur doctor said, if u are serious then remember JESUS CAN DELIVER YOU. Alot of mental illness are demons who hate the human race and want to torment us with the motive of leading us to suicide. If this ever happens remember to call out to JESUS. HE IS VICTOR.
@imelda4jesus no I was not joking. when I was a teenager about 17 years old I had family problems, lived on the street, got depressed, had chronic panic attacks and spent lots of time with professional psychologist and psychiatrists. anyways thanks for the advice
@jezza1789 I think most likely it's chronic depression. lots of people in college go through depression and they learn to deal with it but some students don't learn how to deal with it and if you can't fix these depression episodes earlier you are likely to loose your mind.

@jezza1789 medication. what else? schizophrenia itself is not bad, but the meds are. then you realise your desires, and your expectations. unless you give up listening to your ego, you lose.
@yahmana Me too and im 30- getting a little paronoid and sometimes I sound like my schizophrenic dad- but im still sane, the paronoia only comes when im stressed. Girls often get it later than guys.
Real nice, God! Make him suffer, horribly for 17 years....then take away WALKING. The only thing he really loved to do. Real nice. You're such a loving god.
Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.
Very very interesting story. I got the chills at the end on how he had gotten worse in terms of his symptoms. My prayers go out to Bob and his family. Its very interesting and sad how a completely normal person can get mentally sick like this that affects their whole life. I will be taking a psychology course soon and definitely want to learn more about this disorder.
All people see things cause all people have feelings. Feelings cause your brain to create things. This is called faith. If you really believe that u see something no matter what it is, your brain will create it. Calm down and everything will instantly change. You can say that something is real only when u take your feelings out of it cause everything you feel that will happen can become a fantasy. So just try to live in the present cause everytime u see something, it's just YOU in faith.

00:54-02:14, this is what i think he is saying:I know whats wrong with me and that i'm not like others. I feel bad for what i did to Sue and aunt Ethel, I want them to know, i can distinguish the different things in life but i can't help it. We need to do what is right or it means our lives. Good always wins, but we need to choose which we are going to do. When i walk around kmart I feel i found the cure. but all doctors know there isn't, i just cope with it. Its a shame my father can't help me.
It seems like he's suffering from time dilation. He just doesn't understand time like most people do. That's why he 'babbles'. These are coherent thoughts he has but the switch is so fast that he doesn't realize it until it happens and when it happens he forgets why he said it at all, so he keeps going to the next thought.
English, unfortunately, isn't simple enough for him to translate what he thinks out loud. But I'm sure his mind thinks beautiful things.
@bigdintel Haha, just an observation. I assure you, I don't know why schizophrenia occurs and how to deal with it.
Also, not to seem snarky, but a doctor's diagnosis gets you Thorazine. Doctors are educated people but they see schizophrenia, first and foremost as a chemical imbalance simply because that's how they view the body. Schizophrenia is a multi-faceted 'disorder'-- you can't look at it through a microscope and say 'this is why things are happening, so do this instead'.
@plachenko you are wrong so wrong man. i know first hand what this guy is going thru. English is a pretty language and perfectly alrite to express what we feel with it. Its just that you wont have patience to listen to what a classified schizophrenic has in his mind will u/? tell me, what gives you a drive to talk to the next person?? :) peace
@rakabir1 Have you been diagnosed with schizophrenia?
This may seem silly, but do you actively try to remember your dreams? Have you suffered from insomnia? Schizophrenia fascinate me-- the conscious mind melding along with the subconscious seems irrational but it happens.
As a universal language, English blows. Bob wouldn't have so much trouble dissecting and putting together words from pure thought if we had a better standard of input/output.
@plachenko Exactly. If the normals would have a better standard of i/o. We should leave the dead old tradition of not-following our hearts. and yes, i have been diagonised with schizophrenia in 2009. The doc said what I had was the very extreme form of schizophrenia. I never thought so. :) Anyways, ever since the neuro meds that I only took for 3 months, i have had trouble sleeping.
@plachenko and buddy, dont take this otherwise but if schizophrenia fascinates you so much, try taking those meds that they made me take. the schizo-meds. I think the classification of being a schizo comes after you take the meds and starts acting weirder than before. Before the meds, you are weird coz you choose to. After the meds, you are weird coz the rest of them are the same. I am a little stressed tonight from a day's work. I don feel like talkin bout this now. later maybe? :)
@rakabir1 yep, I was diagnosed bipolar and because of the "not normal behavior" when I was just being weird, and had a few hallications of colors. I was diagnosed schizoaffective.. most people don't understand sub-contious mind, and contious mind. I got better when I got older and away from religious and main scream crap.
@plachenko that can also be part of word salad... exp. I need to go to the store, it's raining out side, the dog pooped on the floor. sara willburn was my friend in 5th grade. I like fish.. thoughts are complete but they jump around to make a complete paragraph of though.
