It's amazing how big the set-up is for "only 19" buildings. As demonstrated in your own lovely backyard, you like to take the space to show off each building in luxury. Good for you. And that really IS a great background out there!
Neat!! My boss has some Department 56 buildings at his store that he would like to get rid of at half-price. If anyone wants a list, please send me a message.
I really like your village! It is so spacious and well organized. Do you leave it up year-round? I have been collecting for 8 years now and the only place I can display mine is in my church basement...it's the only place that has room!! Thanks for recording this for all of us to see and appreciate!
It's still up now because both of us are too lazy to start taking it down! Our display is in our solarium, just off the great room, so it's even visible when we close the french doors. Not really that much work to set up but seems like a lot to take it apart! I'd like more but I think we've reach capacity. Thanks for the nice comments.
@tvusercomp No, we don't keep it up all year but it's time to start thinking about the set up and the new buildings I'd like to have. Thanks for the nice comments.
Beautiful display - Love the way you have added little lights to the houses. One small suggestion - slow your train down to half speed - it will make your display seem twice as large!
Thank you for looking and responding. You're right about the train speed. Actually, if I'm in the other room watching TV I turn the train off - too much noise!
That's funny - we incorporated firemen (my son) and policemen (son-in-law). Also have had run-ins with bears, so have several of them. Avid outdoor people so have elk, etc. Need to find an eagle for one of the trees!
This is just beautiful!

Thank you. I said I wouldn't do it, but I'm looking at new houses and buildings!

Nice and bright with some good action shots. We put up our village in our sunlounge. We have the family chopping wood too....

About 12 years. We like to get the figurines to "match" people in the family too...
