R U serious!!! "After you do all the shit required to unlock your phone I'll show you how to open boot loader" Do me a favor and google the meaning of walk through !!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for uploading this video guide. I have been thinking for many months about installing Cyanogen however i can't gather the confidence. After the latest forced app tgat i don't want/need, can't install to sd and can't uninstall altogether. I think it is now time to go ahead with the new Rom.
Dude...I'm watching it on this computer in 360p and it looks great! lol
But $1,300? Aww... The other one is $700+
I like cameras under $400 that can fit nicely into my pocket.

Would you be able to fill me in on key perks that you get with Cyanogen? I.E Why would I switch to Cyanogen vs. sticking with Gingerbread on my Nexus One?
i'm having difficulty installing cyanogenmod on my nexus one. when i go to recovery mode the screen freeze showing a droid and a triangle with orange exclamation mark. did it 3 times, same thing what seems to be wrong.? i have to remove the battery just to be able to turn on again my phone pls advice tnx
What do you do when updates start coming, I have the newest versions now but wondering when the update comes do i do the same thing like in this video. O yeah thanks for the vid and I found personally found your blog more helpful then the video hehehe.
At the end it seemed you edited the video to show another phone... did it really get stuck or it just took a long time to boot the first time you did it? Nice work though.
Is it really that simple? I have been reading some foruns and they say I need the android SDK and connect my N1 to my laptop. I want to unlock my stock N1 and put the latest Cyanogen (I think 5.0.5.1). I have never done that before.
do you have to unzip the files once you download them to your computer or just drag and drop the entire unzipped folder into the SD Cards root folder???
Every video ive seen of the actual installation has skipped this part which i think is significant
This part is the most confusing everything else seems relatively easy
Great video! Thanks... so from everything I'm seeing you do in fact have to root your Nexus One to install the Cyanogen mod. Now, since this video was so easy to follow, perhaps you could show the process of rooting the Nexus One? Or point me in the direction of some good instructions on how to do so? A lot of the tutorials out there are quick versions for non-beginners; problem is, I'm a beginner ^_^'
no market found?? what do i do ?

Queston;
When you Download SDK in the tools folder it comes with a Fastboot inside of it, do you have to download a separate Fastboot file?
unbornG4 1 year ago
@unbornG4 No, you can use the fastboot file in the Tools folder of the SDK.

Thnx for the reply :)
Hey when u install a modified rom how do u retrieve all the apps u had installed prior to the change?
Do u go to setttings and hit restore and the apps u have appear?
unbornG4 1 year ago
@unbornG4 You will have to re-install them but again just for the first time or you need to use a backup app that will let you backup the apps.
Most of your apps might be stored under the apps directory in your SD card, you can also just install them back using apkInstaller app which is free.

Yes, pretty simple, the hard part is actually installing the SDK and USB drivers. Once you do it, it's a piece of cake.

Once you've installed the recovery image, your Nexus One is "rooted", that's all there is to it, this video is the steps after that.
