No it isn't. While the kangaroo pouch is open all the way down to the pull tab, it does not hang anywhere near the groin area.

OK YOU DID A GREAT REVIEW AND I DECIEDED TO BUY THIS CARRIER. NEXT I NEED THE PLATES. ANYONE EVER USED/BOUGHT "BULLETPROOFME" PRODUCTS? FROM WHAT IVE SEEN THEY HAVE RESONABLE PRICES. BUT LIKE THE PRICE TAG ON THE BANSHEE, THE PLATES SEEM LESS EXPENSIVE THEN OTHER COMPANYS. FEEDBACK FOR BULLETPROOFME OR ANOTHER PLATE COMPANY WOULD BE APPRECIATED. GREAT VIDEO AND THNX AGAIN

now on to the carrier, i love the review i actually just placed an order for mine but i have a question i purchased it from ares armor and they state 500D on the website.

are all banshee's 1000D or did ares get specific made ones?

anyways great video and makes me glad i purchased one

I visit a couple of sites on occasion and yes arfcom is one of them.

As for the Banshee, mine is definitely 1000D and Ares is the first place that I have ever seen them listed as only 500D. I really cannot say if Shellback Tactical ever created a 500D Banshee. The most current with the cummerbund and drag handles are 1000D as far as I know. At least mine is and that is what Shellback advertises also.

In any case the product is very good, even at double the cost.

@ssdsurf There are actually two Banshee plate carriers. The Shellback Tactical one is 1000D and then there is a TAG version that is 500D.

I picked mine up from LA Police Gear as I had a 15% off at the time of purchase. Reg listed was $114 I believe. I think Ares Armor has them for $110.
