it saddens me sometimes to see in Canada the Soldiers coming from battle Wonded or unforteantly killed are treated as heros but here in America we hardly show compasion for our troops because the populus feels we shouldn;t be in Iraq or afganistan and seeing the lack of compasion for the USA's Armed Forces sadens me you guys up North treat the Soldiers the way they should be as heros

In great Britain all our Armed forces are treated as heroes. In GB we wear arm wrist bands, T shirts, jackets watches for Our Help For Heroes. Any person who foghts and is KIA or wounded must always be treated as a Heroe for they do the amazing by acheiving the impossible. It is sad. All soldiers fight for our freedom

Try living in Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, Lebanon for a year. Then come home and complain about the soldiers who fight for the freedoms we have. They played this at my school today. A lot of students laughed throughout the entire ceremony. As someone who grew up with my dad overseas I was offended by them at a personal level. As pictures of families seeing troops off were shown it made me remember all of the times I saw my dad off and all the times he came back alive. How dare those kids laugh at the pain that I and many others have had to go through to keep this country safe.

From the USA. My older brother who was my best friend, enlisted thinking he'd have a head start on his goal of becoming a doctor and served as a chopper medic in VietNam. He came home twice, the first on leave and the second in a coffin. Six of his military pals were to be pall bearers, one stepped aside and insisted I take his place. I was 16.

My best friend is an expat and because of him and his family, I've been able to see a lot of Canada. The people are AWESOME and I ALWAYS felt welcome.

He had many names to find on the wall, I had but one, my brother. We stuck together during the hours we spent at the granite
