you are wrong, actually, because first, Deidara didn't kill Gaara and Gaara still is alive (so he's not a bastard!!!), second: Sasuke didn't kill Deidara but he made him blow himself up and that sucked. He's my favorite character in naruto followed by Jiraiya.

@demonmann who said so? you should read the story. Deidara was assigned by Pein to go to Sunagakure and capture Gaara, not kill him. I can justify Deidara in general, because he didn't want to join Akatsuki in the first place but was forced by Pein and Itachi (he lost to him in a bet) to join. After that, Deidara started to hate Itachi for his Sharingan, that was more 'artistic' than his art. And during Deidara vs Gaara fight, Deidara didn't try to kill Gaara, but Gaara wanted to kill him.

@demonmann yea, I know all that, but think in general: Deidara just did his job as an Akatsuki member but it was all Pein's idea of capturing the Jinchuuriki and extracting the bijuu, not Deidara's. So I don't blame him for that. Yea, I can say that Dei was pretty evil at the beginning, but in later episodes he kinda turned out to be a not-so-evil guy after all, because he was sorta of an 'independent' Akatsuki out there, who loved only his art. And he ended up being himself a masterpiece. lol
