Call me crazy guys but I love this film very much. Paul Verhoeven is one of my favorite directors (Total Recall, RoboCop, Basic Instinct) and he did a good job. Elizabeth Berkley showed bad acting and maybe this film would have better chances with that-time sex symbols Kim Basinger, Madonna, Sharon Stone, Sherilyn Fenn, Erika Eleniak or Kristy Swanson but Elizabeth looked wonderful in "dance" scenes. Not to mention her superhot look (like Shakira & Claudia Schiffer)

If she's sincere, then all I can say is that she was typecast. Say what you want about the story, she played this vaccuous, rotten tomato of a woman/child character to perfection. Vegas is Rome and the dancers are all gladiators minus the religious sentiments of Hollywood sword and sandal epics. There are no heros in this movie only villains making a virtue of necessity. It's Social Darwinism at it's finest and funniest.
