  • for now that pride is the only thing filipinos got! Kung tatanggalin nyo pa yun ano pa matitira? Thanks to you uploader many filipinos believe in your video at ikinakahiya ng filipino sila! .then to expect for a change? Nah!

  • nakakatawa noh? wala na nga makain proud to be pinoy prin eh! haha

  • Wow Mate, I was born there too but I am not Ethnic Pinoy and I always kinda felt that I was marginalized there and over here(land of the Queen). There are many stereo types about people from the Philippines and most pinoy who come overseas feed right into them by doing the things that make us look like FUCKWITS. I support your movement or whatever it may be as long as you support that anyone born in the Philippines is Philippino. thank you for this very well made video.

  • @microserpent ok sa pagkakaintindi ko kasi Parliament System is the answer and all of this is people power's fault in marcos dictatorship? PARLIAMENT SYSTEM? is this really the key? So what are we going to do now? magrarally ba tayo para isulong ang cha cha and blame the aquinos?

  • @dehadodotcom no offense meant dude on what Ive just posted. . Nagta2ka lng kc aq s mga gani2ng vids n kailngang ikhiya mo lahi mo dhil sa dinadanas n hirap! Di b ms mgndng sabhin n lng n naghi2rp ang bansa ntin we need 2 do some change? Ewan!

  • @nytwolf24 clearly you didn't understand the video. CLEARLY.

  • @dehadodotcom yap phillippines really have to change! Change w/out pride? The author is sending a message of walking w/ your head down as filipino? na mahiya ka sa sarili mo kasi mahirap ang bansa mo? na walang dignidad, intelektuwal na kapasidad ang mga pilipino? na hindi mo dapat ipagmalaki ang lahi mo kasi maraming nagugutom sa bansa nyo? Parang hindi ata magandang lunukin yun?PARLIAMENTARY-FEDERALISM how can this system change filipino living? Ikaw ba nahihiya ka dahil pilipino k?

  • And this is precisely we should have just accepted good ol' American Imperialism than overrated Independence.

  • there are things you should be proud of and things you should be ashamed of. . .

No other raise in this planet is perfect! Hating and discriminating your own raise wont solve anything believe me! This video is the dark side of the phil. why dont you look at the bright side? If you cant see it. . . Then I feel pitty on you my fellow men. . .

  • @nytwolf24 but sir nytwolf if we weigh those things to be proud off which one does really weigh more? its a constructive critism and its not hating and discrimination. the truth is and the bright side is "change". what works for our parents doesnt work for us its been 25 years and our generation is suffering. change is a really tough things in this world and a lot of us have fears, but behind those are the bright side and freedom.

  • PROUD tayo TO BE PINOY kasi mahirap tayo na bansa, yan ang bobo

  • Comment removed

  • ung cnasabi dun sa video you should not proud to be pinoy proud to be filipino dapat, kc nga naging pnoy lang tawag satin cmula nung naging bayani c ninoy pero talga wla naman nagawa para sa atin it is god's will na maging democratic tau pero cmula nun wla na naghirap na ang pinas dahil sa mga pinatupad ng mga oligarchy sa bansa.

  • Still proud to be pinoy parekoy. . . yan ang lahi ko. . taas noo kahit kanino. . . .

  • Your videos is enlightening...but with propagandas??

PILIPINAS!

  • this is right..

earn it and live it. :)

  • yeah you are not alone

  • I want to see your views regarding the RH bill.

  • @ixataca tama

  • i was born in a shitty barrio and was so poor that i couldnt even afford sandals. moved to the US when i was 5 years old and now i live in a 2 story house and drive a benz. AWWWWWW YEAHHHHH.

mom was a nurse working in the US. had connections to help the rest of the family become US citizens. i always thought i would have a filipino girlfriend. but i chose a korean. but its okay becuz her family is rich LOLOLOL

  • how can u be proud, if u can't accept reality.?

    -SINULOG RULZ

  • this video is actually good. since this is actually the reality that we Filipino cant deny.. maybe somehow politicians will stop discussing about things that will not help their people. just help people in need immediately, because they always talk and talk but lesser work.if u know what i mean.

  • pinoy wake up from very very long slumbering...and you ill see the future.

  • Pinoy Wake up from very very long slumber...and you will see the future.

  • @TRCaddik yeah i definitely agree...Next time tell those ignorant and in denial Filipinos, "Most of the Filipino people are dying of poverty; now tell me, what are you proud of?"

  • magtulungan nlng tayo wag magsiraan kung umasenso man kayo wag magyabang tulungan nyo dapat tulungan okay

  • bakit dumadami mahirap? marami sila manganak

  • This video tells the truth. Every time I hear someone say that they're proud to be Filipino, a part of me just wants to slap them in the face and tell them to wake up and realize that the Philippines is slowly inching further and further down the scale. Relying on OFWs isn't what we're supposed to do. In fact, making OFWs the heroes might not really be the right thing at all. If you think about it, all the professionals are working for other countries, while those without education stay here.

  • @TRCaddik yeah i definitely agree...Next time tell those ignorant and in denial Filipinos, "Most of the Filipino people are dying of poverty; now tell me, what are you proud of?"

  • "Manny and Charice's achievements are possible only because they worked hard to attain them" -typical MAJORITY of Pinoys... Works hard. Proud of it!

Being Pinoy is not just pure greatness, what few people does is part of it yes... shame on “them” not “us”.

It's not about the Education, It's not about the Government, It's about YOU. No one can Educate you but yourself, No one can Govern you but yourself.

  • I'm not surprised at why this is the most viewed video.

I hope this video made a lot of butthurt filipinos.

  • facebookcom/pages/Im-a-Filipino-and-i-am-annoyed-with-the-words-Pinoy-Pride/155579277863368?sk=wall pa like nyo

  • overpopulation + insufficient resources + illiteracy = one poor nation

  • This video is indeed an "Eye-Opener".

There is way too much greed and selfishness among those who have been chosen to lead us, with some exceptions, that reflects to the general well being of the country.

Lets not forget that Rizal died for this country. And Ninoy Aquino, who once said "Filipinos are worth dying for", fought for our freedom aware that his life was on the line. Their sacrifice would have been in vain.

Lets make "FILIPINO" a word something that we should be really proud of.

  • i'M 18. SHARING THIS TO MY FRIENDS.

btw the song is cool. :)

  • i'm still a proud Pinoy.. what i'm not proud of is the corruption and oligarchy in my country.. so if we love Philippines.. we must not be ignorant!

  • This is amazing and on point. I have been rallying and pointing out things that could be changed here in the Philippines so we can rise up in my head. But, when it comes to a change that we want of this magnitude, one person cant do it alone. Say, do you have any active organizations here that I can volunteer at to help raise awareness for these issues? Thank you and again, job well done!

  • According to QS Top Universities World Wide for 2011, Philippine universities that we consider exclusive and the best are really pathetic compared to other schools:

    U.P. ranked 332

    Ateneo ranked 360

    La Salle ranked 600

    UST ranked 601+

This explains the state of our nation. Our leaders past and present attended these schools. (We have the worst airports, zoos, corruption and now schools.) I find it funny when local Filipinos brag about what university they associate themselves with.

  • @1818JoseRizal1898 just out of curiosity . . . which school are you from?

  • @1818JoseRizal1898 if I were from Harvard I would not brag about it either; the current economic woes of the USA were created by people who went to Harvard business school, the current president who has made things worse comes from Harvard, George Bush is a product of Yale and most of the positions of power and influence in the USA are from so called Ivy League schools.....

  • Most importantly the youth? wow. Now I get a little bit of picture of who may have uploaded this.

  • @pamelazanest what's with the youth?? dba nga "ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan." The youth holds the next generation." Kaya nga may kantang "next in line" (igoogle mo un lyrics). Nasa kabataan kasi ang influence at kng anu ung umuuso.. reason why nag explain pa ko is I get a little bit of picture that u are judging the uploader (with non sense explanation).

my intention is not to insult or to argue.. blah blah.. peace ^_^

Pinoy tlga.

  • @02frey sabihin mo yan sa bobong biglang nagwala nung sinabihan kong "NOICE" yung comment niya e 3e

  • projectpilipinas . org

  • I like how some people don't get "NOICE" is a play on the australian accent for saying "nice"

    stay free Philippines

  • @myrmidon2537 LAWL troo 8/\

and realleh? thought it was Europian, like "WOOTAH" for water :0

  • @myrmidon2537 and and, I just copied eet from meh friends "foiled" he says LOLFOILED a lot > A >

  • I totally agree, I'm a bit embarrassed whenever I hear the phrase "proud to be pinoy" just because someone from their own race was recognized by other countries, Filipinos are totally emotional insecured and this is caused by their bad history and religion, most Filipinos I encountered are ignorant and too proud of themselves

  • @Jnelnic ikaw anong stado mo rich dude atenean bastard???

  • I think that it's pretty understandable na what he really means by "NOICE" is really "NICE". It's just that you did not have knowledge about it. SO.... think before you speak. Ikaw rin makakawawa. You should have asked first. :>

  • 611 dislikes? and who are they? the wealthy and the powerful.

  • Philippines is a Joke. The only cool thing about Philippines is Pacquiao.

  • Please remember not to feed the trolls.

  • inspiring...

  • Kudos great work! You're not alone. The real culprit of our sufferings is the one who won the presidency with a small margin. Not the previous one. The previous one did not win at all.

  • Very very good video! I really applaud you! In my opinion, most...I mean majority of people (because some do not) are proud of where they came from but I have never heard any British say specifically "Proud to be British" or "Proud to be Japanese"... that is pretty racist in a way and that is prejudice...what is the difference of that from Hitler's ethnic cleansing of the Jewish and other races b/c he thought that the Aryan race is superior?

KUDOS PRE.

  • AWWWWW. This is so true! This really breaks my heart :'( Thanks for making this video. This is really a big help! I will show it to my friends and let them know this. Thank you again! :)

  • Why do some Filipinos try so hard not to act Filipino?

    most Filipinos I see

    are:

    A. Obsessed with white people and wanting mixed children

    B. Trying to act Black and be Gansta

    C. Trying to act Japanese or Korean

all the while they say things like "GO Filipino Pride, your number #1"

how can they have pride if they don't act their true self, also how can they be proud of their government when its just full of celebrities? -Anonymous

  • @NimueNierves

Well... that shows the degeneration of a HOMO FILIPINUS.

  • MABUHAY PILIPINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the spanish should have stayed a bit longer, we could have been more educated better than cheap false propaganda-enforcing public schools by americans.

  • @iganduyan07

So dear sir while the Spaniards plunder our resources and our women, you still think they should stay longer? Sorry but I beg to differ :/

  • @arabianongpinoy yeah, you should look into spain's history. the 1930's is a good opportunity to have independence with national consciousness. spain did not know how to kill nationalism.

  • @iganduyan07

With all due respect sir/madam I beg to differ once more. You said the Spaniards did not know how to kill nationalism right? Correct me if Im wrong, but the Spaniard culture had a major impact on our indigenous culture. Our original culture has been mixed with Spanish elements (in terms of linguistics and mannerisms).

They did not kill our nationalism but their culture sure polluted it LOL :P

  • @arabianongpinoy

In fact, who are the ones in political power? The ones of Spaniard descent(aside from the Chinese and the Americans of course LOL)! Who is often emulated in mainstream media? The mestizos! (including the Spanish descent ones) :P

  • @arabianongpinoy well my point was the abuses of spaniards would exalt more national strength among the filipinos. oh and not all indigenous culture were affected. they are still there, it's just that the people called flips discriminate them.

  • There's no phenomena to change our ways that has been existing for decades. This is just a stupid video. Move-on patay na si Rizal!

Will you just live with his words and die?

Make sense. Your Fantasy doesn't exist in reality.

That's how we live. That's life. Face it.

  • @21robinyam said "That's how we live. That's life. Face it."

That is for you coz you're one of mediocre minded pinoys.

  • @21robinyam Another example of a FLIPFAG who unwisely uses "bahala na".

Tsk tsk

  • im proud to filipino not to say we got talent or else..proud to filipino because this what i am,we have something that other country dont have..something that only filipino can fell,,philippines is poor country but we got somethng to bond us together..and someday will stand and say the world we are filipino...and hope i will see that day but now i only say IM PROUD TO BORN AND TO BE FILIPINO

  • @radzlionheart

It’s a habit of Filipinos to boast something about their country or culture. But one can spot problems in these boasts. For example, Filipinos boast their large extended families, implying that a big family is good; but foreigners will laugh at these Filipinos draining their bank accounts and maxing out their credit cards to support such a big family.

  • @radzlionheart

That’s the problem with Filipinos. They like to boast and say that they’re the best in something, claiming that it is a benign national trait. But when someone criticizes them, even constructively, they get mad and play out their victim mentality. They think the whole world is jealous of them and pulling them down, when in fact they pull their country down with their own bad habits and poor decision-making.

  • @PangulongMarcos I agree with you. Its quite embarrassing especially when our athletes just came off a win against some other country. You'll immediately see Pinoys downgrading the other team and worse their races. With Pinoys, theres always this need to belittle everybody else just so that he could better himself. He just wants to hide his insecurities. The problem with us we think too highly of ourselves. I am NOT proud to be Pinoy.

  • @gibo2016

Nice observation. Try to read "Filipinos are not the best things in the world" for more.

  • im living in japan almost forget im born in philippines..shy to be filipino 10 years living here know there manners culture life style and peaceful enviroment...wish i born here and plan to stay here forever...but last month i visit philippines take a vacation for the first time i feel.....home, i stay only 2 weeks but every minute is count..something inside of me tell...this is where you frome.. 2 weeks fast and return here now japan...god..im homesick i will say now im not shy to be filipino

  • @radzlionheart

Filipinos seem to love to boast being the best in something. Best workers, best actors, best artists, best singers, best this and that. We even ride on Manny Pacquiao, Charice Pempengco, Arnel Pineda or any other famous Filipino as the best, using it as a springboard to boast that Filipinos are the best. But it turns out that we are only best in boasting. And the world laughs.

  • I think Filipinos who are abroad are more proud that the ones here in the Philippines.

  • @Fitzz021 YEAP, I AGREE! Filipinos abroad are the ones who encourage and give a good word about the Philippines to foreigners. Unfortunately, once these tourists arrive in Manila, they see the reality about Filipinos being its own worse enemy. It's very own people are the ones fucking it up. So what do I say when I try to invite friends to visit the Philippines? I tell them the truth and I don't sugarcoat everything with powdery white sands from Boracay. I tell them about the dirty Pasig River.

  • umpisahan natin ang lahat sa sarili natin

  • @karldave15

you can start by educating your self. face the truth with courage and humility. don't be ignorant! be creative in expressing your desire for change just like @PinoyMonkeyPride here.

  • cont.

if there are some issues we need to fix. then lets fix it together. influence others to help solve these problems, not help them be ashamed of their race. :|

  • i am a student myself and i feel proud to be filipino simply because some of our talents we're actually known globally. I feel proud because we are one of the most conservative people, even though we're extremely americanized. (god forbid the RH bill to happen or the divorce one). I'm proud to be filipino because we know what real family is like. AND WE LOVE AND TAKE CARE OF OUR PARENTS till they get old. I live in Canada, still loud and proud im a filipino.

  • @camxzeeoeight I'm proud of Filipinos whose talents are known globally. They deserve our support and praise, but we shouldn't take their achievements as our own. Their talents are not due to their race, but simply their own personal drive to achieve. I don't think the goal of the video is to make Filipinos ashamed of themselves. But we cannot rest on laurels of our past achievements or those of others. Be proud, but also do something to make the country proud of you. imho

  • 606 people are apathetic citizens.

  • We Filipinos should have our own version of Planet of the Apes. Supreme Court justices, Congressmen, Senators and our president all wearing suits or barongs. Only difference is that they are monkeys or apes who can talk English but really do nothing or know nothing about how to effectively run a state.

  • are you going to put your pride somewhere else? or are you going to fix this

  • wow..mga matatalino nag comment dito ah..GOOD LUCK nalang po..let me know kung merong mababago sa bansa natin..:)

  • ANG GANDA TALAGA NG PINAS! I LAB D PILIPINS!!!! PRAUWD TO BE PINOY! MANGKI TENK UUUUUUUU!!!!

  • @newagepun - yeah. i got wrong in my 1st comments - i forgot to put "no" in bias section. Media should air it and comment it with no bias statements. Thanks for understanding.

I don't believe in miracles. I believe in finding out the truth and doing what is right. CHANGE only happens when you DO, not if you DON'T.

  • MUST WATCH!! An eye opener video!..

  • Im still proud to be filipino !!! If we want CHANGE! then we should start CHANGING OURSELVES. ;]

  • @refINEr159 if you could change your logic, you would start making sense. You can't be proud of what you were born into. You can only be proud of what you accomplished, hence through actions.

  • Nice Video. Hope YouTube will not removed this video. Wish concerned individuals to spread this video thru the use of Social Networks. Hope true and sincere journalist or media network can air and spread the good message of this video and not destroy it with bias comments.

Hope PinoyPrideMonkey will continue to post and make videos to educate the ignorant Filipinos. Take care and God Bless!

  • @saging1 whoever marked you as spam is certainly SALTY. And can't handle the truth about the burden of being Pinoy.

  • PEENOY. . lol

  • " ? "

  • Everyday I see this, and for some reason I've never done anything, actually there's not much I can do as a student. There's more than just a few bad things happening in our country everyday, but we don't see it, or maybe we just don't want to see it. I hope that our generation will be able to stop this extremely saddening issue. I hope that someday I'll be able to commute to somewhere without seeing sad, hungry faces that I can't do anything about...

  • @rayyan007

You just can't handle the truth (period). Ignoramus ka kasi eh!

  • @rayyan007 so Mali tong videong to? THEN SHOW AND PROVE US WHAT THE TRUTH IS.

Look, di mo kami masisisi na maniwala, he has all the proofs and evidences, and you know what? all his videos made me say "OO NGA NO?!?" after watching them (though not all, kase kahit di pa ako nakapanood ng videos niya,,alam ko na na may problema). Before you protest against somethingsomeone etc kase, you need to prepare everything para lumabas ka na kapani-paniwala.

  • "ARE YOU PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO?"-"DON'T BE."

Well, this video is a documentary of what's the reality in the Philippines. Clarify that instead of complaining about poverty and stuff, why don't we just help fix it ? I mean, we are all Filipinos and everyone have the rights to privilege but not everyone has access to it. So a simple caption that say "DON'T BE PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO." can give out a different reception worldwide.

  • @drewsoriano1 I think you should watch PMP's latest video, so youll know the difference between PINOY and FILIPINO. And who cares about what the world thinks about us?

    tsk tsk

  • @ihp0ts may mga PILIPINO din na naghuhugas like my batchmats their in abroad

  • @drewsoriano1 its not that hard to be 'pinoy'. You are born into the nationality, more than likely if one of your parents are Pinoy, like I was. The reality of the Philippines IS the poverty, the ineptitude and the society as a whole. And the common misconception that you can be 'proud' of what you were born into. Last I checked, you can only be proud of what you accomplished and achieved, or what someone else did.

  • @TheEternalRider Its apparently the pinoy way or the highway. They don't look at how their real life country success allowed their nation to thrive and would rather test success under the idiots they voted in politics, even though they say they don't need politics to see the country through better times. These other countries copied the systems of efficiency from nations that were successful with it, compared to the Philippines who copies thing half ass and sticks with those results.

  • I agree with this video EXCEPT for one thing: why are we even according blame to a single politician and/or his family? Medyo naging suspicious ako sa agenda mo kasi you're all like "i'm not a marcos loyalist".. is anyone accusing you of that :D My point is, halos LAHAT ng politicians in pinas ay kurakot. let's not just pin the blame onto one administration ok? it's ALL THE PAST ADMINS' cumulative fault, and our grandfathers' mistakes and OUR mistakes

  • @autumnsoliloquy in any form of government, there will ALWAYS be corruption. The difference is the progress made and how it is ran to meet the day to day and yearly goals. People blamed PGMA because the media highlighted her faults and made her supposedly anti-masa. Yet the media who has ties with the Aquinos won't look critically into their mistakes, if not making light of the current president's ineptitude. See the bias?

  • IN REALITY OUR FUTURE DOES NOT DEPEND IN THE ECONOMY. IT DEPENDS ON US! So we must NEVER DEPEND ON THE GOVERNMENT because there are many ways and opportunities out there. The only thing we need to do is to open our hearts and minds for it. There are no reasons for poverty. We just make reasons out of it! Grow and wake up my fellow citizens! We can still make a change!! :)

  • @0lllshinlll0 "IN REALITY OUR FUTURE DOES NOT DEPEND IN THE ECONOMY"

Tell that to China, Singapore, Korea and Japan who continue to progress as the years go on. And guess what, Korea at the same time understands the concept Christianity more than you do.

  • @newagepun "Tell that to China, Singapore, Korea and Japan" Know what these Northeast Asian countries have in common? Confucianist values of HARD WORK, (over the top) SENSE OF SELF-RESPECT AND FACE, punctuality, etc. etc. Our problem is also rooted in our slack, "forgiving", "filipino time" culture, we have to admit that and change that before we can even start trying to be like these economic miracles.

  • @autumnsoliloquy they aren't miracles considering they actually DID what was needed in order to attain the results they are enjoying now. They actually have something to be proud of in a national level and have things to show for it that can be recognized.

  • @newagepun Tell that to China, Singapore, Korea and Japan who continue to progress as the years go on.

They continue to progress because they are disciplined and have a proper mindset. I know filipinos are hard working but the problem is there are plenty of us who have this "crab mentality" attitude. There are people who succeed but what do other people do? They questioned how did they ever get there? Instead of helping themselves to grow, be inspired and get motivated.

  • @samaej it has nothing to do with crab mentality. Crab mentality is an excuse, much like the society has blamed these phantom societal ills. Not once did those nations make excuses that halted their progress. The systems they were under also had the foresight to tap into new resources to be usable for the future. They are beyond motivation, and took it to actual execution and GOT THINGS DONE. Meanwhile were are still trying saying we still need to learn how to achieve success.

  • @0lllshinlll0 IN REALITY OUR FUTURE DOES NOT DEPEND IN THE ECONOMY. IT DEPENDS ON US! So we must NEVER DEPEND ON THE GOVERNMENT

    AGREE :-bd

  • @TheEternalRider very true, the rotten system of our country is worsening and our people are becoming hopeless. this is the reality and everyone of us should be aware of these matter. im still proud of what blood is running in my veins and i'll make difference by starting to my self. suportahan sana natin mga ganito...

Kung mapapupunta man kayo, o kung may langit nga talaga.

Yun nalang pag asa ninyo, natin.

  • @drickmel Oh no you're the one who's being hopeless.

  • WHEREVER THERE'S A SUCCESSFUL FILIPINO, instead of saying things like "proud to be pinoy" or "ang sarap talaga maging pinoy", say "im proud of him/ her, and I would like to become more like him/ her".

The mantra "proud to be pinoy" SHAMES US AS A PEOPLE because of its arrogant tone and that we are taking somebody else's victory as our own.

  • @dtadeo2006 well not only that, it forces the statement to be totally empty and used incorrectly. How is one even proud of the lack of national achievements of the country?

  • "Ask not what you can do for your country; Ask what your country can do for you!

How many more of these SONAs can Filipinos bare? KATANGAHAN!
