  • It is a shame that the organist abused the Crescendo pedal so much in this anthem. As the installer and tone finisher of this organ, I can tell you all that the organ contains wonderful and colorful accopanimental stops which - if used with care - can compliment the choral singing and the hymn singing. Visit my channel to hear what this organ can really do...

  • I like that song. We sung this song at The Inaugural Concert of the Community Concert Choir hear at Baltimore under the direction of Dr. Marco K. Merrick. Close to over 100 singers.

  • It's the organist...he is not using the pistons. He is using the crescendo pedal like a gas pedal. You can see his foot slammed on it! It's not a hammond lol That's why its horrible...the choir is not bad at all...

  • Its not not the organist is that horrible organ!!!!!!!

  • I had the honor of hearing veteran soprano Regina McConnell sing this at Historic Asbury United Methodist Church in DC a few months ago. She slayed this piece! The whole church went up!

  • That tempo is WAAAAAY too fast. What a wonderful selection ruined by the soper-TEMPO. That song is to be sang slowly with emphasis and feeling.

  • I've had the pleasure of singing a duet with Mr. Bryant for an Afro-French program at my school. He's a great tenor and a very nice person!!!

  • That Man is SINGING, Glory !!!!. I love the WORD in Song.

  • Organist person was totally out of control..

  • Man, I haven't heard this song since I was a Lil Boy!!! The Senior Choir at my old church used to belt this out like ANGELS. Only, they used to have a Soprano Soloist. Either way, I LOVE IT!

  • What church was that?

  • Tindley Temple United Methodist Church in Philadelphia.

  • I heard this done with Gregory Hopkins at Douglass Memorial Com Church in Baltimore it was wonderful also. I will visit Mother Zion Church this Spring.

  • I sang this very piece at the New York Annual Conference in 2004, and again at the General Session in Greensboro that same year. It's good to hear it again. Shout out to Greater Centennial AMEZ Church in Mt. Vernon & Rev. W. Darin Moore!!! Also, to Mother AMEZ Church, and the Rev. Dr. Gregory Robeson Smith, my good friend.
