Did you have any issues with your rev idle once you installd your BOV? I have an 06 TR as well, just a custom catback with Megan Racing M-SpecII muffler. Installed my TurboXS RFL and idle started acting really funny and unstable, must be a leak somewhere, did you place a gasket between the BOV and intercooler? Or just silicone sealer? Let me know bro.

probably acting funny cuz our cars work best with bypas valves not blow off valves the BOV messes with ur MAF sensor and it doesnt know whats goin on so you'll be running rich for a moment then lean and idle will be funny too...so if i were you i would stick with ur stock BPV unless your running over 19 psi i mean if u want that sound you can always go with the SPT Intake and keep ur car running smoothly = )

bypass valves = bov. there are a million names for em. ideally, most "smarter" tuners choose a recirculating valve, or set up their bov's to recirculate a 75/25% ratio of air back to the intake. this (like u mentioned) prevents the MAF from getting "confused", by not running rich. i think that dv's with an intake on many of the german cars (1.8t engine) get a simaliar sound, but thers nothing like a WRX paired with an SSQV.

It's a good catback. It may not sound AS nice as an HKS or another name-brand, but IMHO you're spending too much on a catback if it's above 500$- there's really not that much of a difference to spend 2x the price of this exhaust.
